World Boss kills are NOT counting towards Chapter 7 Challenge (Destroyer), stuck on 2/15 kills, still!

As the title states. I’ve started hunting down the world bosses in WT4 since Level 68. I’m sure most players including myself are lucky enough to kill a World Boss at least once maybe twice a day with the spawn time disparity.

I’ve killed Ashava x2, Avarice x1 and Wandering Death x1 since moving onto WT4 at level 68. And YES, the kills are retroactive in Chapter 7 of the challenges IF you do kill them before unlocking Chapter 7 (Destroyer) tier. This also applies to content you’ve already completed towards unlocking the next Chapter tier, you’ll receive credit for them.

For example, I’ve completed Chapter 6 Challenges and when Chapter 7 was unlocked after claiming Chapter 6 rewards, I was receiving credit for “Mephistos Bane” (Purify Seeds of Hatred in PvP Zones -10,000) and I received credit for Killing Helltide Commanders (2/5 ) during the Helltide Event which I’ve completed 5/5, even though I received credit for killing two (2) Helltide Commander BEFORE Chapter 7 was unlocked and when unlocked, I recieved those credits mentioned above which counted toward the total number.

So, what gives? I’ve restarted D4 and still displaying 2/15 World Bosses killed even though I’m at 4 World Boss kills.

I just need one more challenge to complete 6 out of 8 challenges to claim Chapter 7 title and golden cache, so these are my options (currently L86):

  • Kill Echo of Lilith in WT4
  • Kill World Bosses in WT4 (2/15, even though I’ve killed 4 of them already).
  • Reach Level 100

You can only get credit for each boss once a week i believe. So you max at 3 per week.

I bet it’s only counting once per week when you qualify for the Grand Cache.

Imo, it should count every time you defeat the world boss, especially since the lengthy time it takes for them to spawn. That’s how it’s explained, cut and dry, “Kill World Bosses in tier torment 4”. If the developers intended for WB to “only” count twice or three times per week for the challenge, then it need’s some clarification, because having killed 4 world bosses in WT4 and only 2 of them counting towards the progress is pretty discouraging when you’re trying to complete seasonal content. :man_shrugging:

I already finished the season journey by getting to 100, but when I was looking at this I was wondering if maybe it doesn’t count if you leave the boss area too early.

For some reason you have to wait several seconds before it counts the world boss kill for tree of whisper credit for example, and one time when I looked at the achievement counter, it didn’t go up until the tree of whispers credit also popped up. Not sure if it would still count after you TP out or if you have to wait for it to pop up before leaving.

I believe I got credit for the same boss more than once a week, I was pretty close to completing that step as well, but I’m not 100% sure.
