@Blizzard , please implement an AFK timer that ports you back to town after 30-60 seconds of not hitting skills/moving (combination if possible) to remove these players that make the game play experience worse during World Bosses. I literally just watched someone move away from the boss right before it spawned, stay dead (after several attempts to resurrect them), and then when the boss died, respawned, collected their loot and bailed. This is very toxic behavior and severally diminishes the experience for all.
It would be difficult to differentiate lag from inactivity. I agree it is toxic behavior. Every implementation I can think of from Dead / Incapacitated at boss kill, %Damage done to boss etc would unfairly penalize actual players as well.
I can totally understand that. As far as dead goes, you can have it auto rez them after 5 seconds, as i do not believe their is a penalty that prevents you from immediately rezing currently. and then while alive, if not moving or hitting skills for x amount of time, (30 - 60 seconds was what I felt comfortable saying to include lag/delay etc) then auto port them to town to prevent them from benefiting from doing nothing.
Possibly related, but most of the time my game crashes has been at world bosses… Especially if you get there close to start time.
I’d wager I’ve been the “that guy” a few times in the past. Only once did my character stay logged in long enough for the boss to die and actually get loot mailed to me though.
