The resource regeneration has no visual effect on the passive mana regeneration in the character info for Sorcerers and I’m not sure if it effects others classes. Please look into this.
+1, Willpower seems to have no change to mana regeneration for Sorc. Is mana not considered a resource?
I figured out willpower affect resource generating abilitys. Not the passive regeneration.
I figured out willpower affect resource generating abilitys. Not the passive regeneration.
I would still consider this a bug then. If true, Willpower should then read “Increases Resource Generation from Abilities by X%.”
The tooltip clearly implies that Willpower boosts BASE passive mana/resource generation.
+1, surely willpower should be affecting sorc mana regen
Nope, sadly not. Despite being labeled with the EXACT same text, same letters, the “Resource Generation” from Willpower only increase resource from BASIC attacks, while the “Resource Generation” from gear increase resource generation from ANY source.
The fact about basic attacks is mentioned nowhere, but that’s how it is. One has to wonder why Blizzard doesn’t want to inform us of course. Only adding to the confusion is the fact that the +% to Overpower Dmg from Willpower DOES increase ALL Overpower dmg, and not just Overpower from basic skills, so naturally one would have assumed it to also be the case with “Resource Generation” from Willpower… Question remains then, does the +% Healing from Willpower apply to healing from ANY source? Or only from certain skills, like only healing from basic attacks?
