So legitimately i have every single aspect that buffs the minions how i intend to use them, and comparing to bone spear even with only having a single useful aspect for it, bone spear is several magnitudes higher damage in every single aspect. will they please buff minion damage and survivability because they are nigh on unplayable at the moment and it just makes me want to scrap the character completely.

They will fix them - minions are one of the most popular builds for necro… but they won’t do it unless they can sell you a season pass to check it out, so don’t expect fixes to come until daily engagement metrics for necro mains drop off.
It is playable, it just isnt optimal or meta. if you just wanna play minions there are lots of ways to do it…
if you wanna min max and hit the highest possible NM dungeon tiers then it is sub optimal
People won’t be happy with minions until they just all cast bone spears.
Try again. It’s hard to level up a Summoner. But they are powerful and has decent DPS viable enough for End game at high end.
Summoner is not built for speedy race DPS runs on Solo. Btw, you dont need very high NM to get powerful items in the game. Summoners are more wanted on Multiplayer as most high end players on high NM dungeons are glass cannon squishies who dies in one shot as Summoners are Tanks.
My sorcerer friend 11 levels above me cant believe how i can go toe-to-toe with him at high level tier dungeons right now. I was able to erase his difficult mobs way faster becoz he spent running/dodging when without me. When with me, he just wait for me to CC and consolidate all targets in one area for easy nukes even though i sometimes erase targets very fast.
Summoner is the most satisfying Necro to play. But it’s hard to play them at start of Torment.
calling them popular is an understatement. it is the selling point, the essence, of a necro. all other builds were alternative builds

Whenever Rod Ferguson finally gets into high sigils and realizes it takes 2 to 5 minutes to kill anything it will change. Even with ring of mendeln, a full thorns build fighting suppressor just feels horrible.

past 85 , no matter how much mitigation you stack they get 1 shot by elemental
Not unless you one shot them first. Of course you have to be geared.
Minions are playable if you have the ring (the precious).
Otherwise it’s best to go a different build.
Promoting how fun Summoners at high end level. But you have to be decent not a scrub.
You may not get the ring when you are not on that build. Also hard to garbage your old build when you fully switch.
I might be misremembering this and would like clarification, but weren’t minions just auto summoned at some point with no skill bar take up?
I’ve switched builds 2 times today, it’s not that hard.
Enjoy wasting your gold. I use 30M gold for enchant of just 1 gear. No wonder you minion build cant go up becoz youre cheap on gear upgrades.
I’m doing tons of damage equal to a budget bone spear setup and I just threw together some random gear I had in my stash.
Imagine when I optimize it.
