Please tell me the devs confirmed that their won’t be a Whimsyshire or anything remotely representing this atrocity.

They’ve said they plan to stick to the dark gritty them at the start, so there won’t even be a cow level. They said once things loosen up they’ll bring back the cow level. I doubt the game could loosen up enough to allow whimsyshire.

I’d barf if I see it again. Not just from the epileptic seizure inducing aspect, but just from sheer and utter disappointment.
I’m already concerned about potential excess wokeness ruining the game’s gorgeous, gritty aesthetics down the road.

I actually want a Whimsyshire but its now dark and gloomy with horror versions of its D3 creatures since we tore that place up a lot in D3.

Instead of a cow level how about a Butcher level? We somehow open a portal to where all the Butchers come from and all we’ll here are hundreds of Butchers saying “Fresh meat.”. 
WARNING: Blizz is not responsible for those poor souls that unfortunately wander into a Butcher portal. Chance to be chain stunned and butchered and hung on a meat hook.
EDIT: Would be cool if you died in the Butcher level your corpse is hung up or on a chopping block for other players to see. 
or do whimsyshire for people that misbehave, as a punishment.

While it is best if they come up with something entirely new as a secret level, I wouldn’t mind to see both cow lvl and whimsyshire return later too.
Whimsyshire was one of the few good things D3 added to the series.
Yeah… that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual definition of “woke.” You might want to stop mentioning it before people make judgments about your IQ.
I hope they add something even cornier than Whimsyshire. It will provide a lot of entertainment while I laugh at everyone who takes a video game way too seriously.

God I sure freaking hope not. Lets get back to our roots and keep this game dark.
In a game about demons and angels, heaven and hell. Given the feelings that Whimsyshire elicits from you, wouldn’t that make it the exact representation of Hell for you? True hell should be the exact thing you don’t wanna see.

When you wrote “that has absolutely nothing to do with…” what exactly is it that you thought I was referring to? Cause in no way shape or form did I mention anything specific. I guess me just saying “potential excess wokeness” triggers some deeply rooted righteousness for you and got your panties in a bunch.

Totally hear you, but here’s the thing. Part of the main reason I play this game is the emersion factor. Rainbows and unicorns…just instantly takes me far away from the Diablo world and I can no longer lose myself playing as a badass mofo character. It’s like I instantly have an out-of-body experience and see myself sitting there playing a game. Does that make any sense??
I hear ya, I was just throwing a thought out there since i’m rewatching Buffy the Vampire slayer and it makes you think about Hell being a relative thing.
Like a world without shrimp. Or a world with nothing but shrimp.
I have heard there will be secret levels. Let me tell you some of the rumors i’ve heard.
The first one, I’m picking up chatter on of a really cool mount called Tuk Tuk. This mount will let you enter dark and gritty secret levels like Talon, Spine, Fang, Tail, and Heart. Similar regions to the components of the Hell Fire ring in previous Diablo. Rumor has it you will journey to each of these lands on the new Tuk Tuk Mount and collect the body parts. But please be careful, the new Shadow damage in this realm is insane- one touch and you’re permanently frozen until your team reaches the end. Chatter tells me these uber-shadow bosses are called Druun. Use cold/water spells to keep it back. Now i’m not quite sure what the loot is, you either obtain a hell fire ring or collecting all of the pieces earns you a new aspect called “Kumandra.” I can’t wait to give it a try.
Next rumor is the cow level will be making a return on the outskirts of the legendary Route 66. The cows are strong, way stronger than you. You have to outsmart them, primarily by tipping them over. Once they tip over they will puff a black smoke and go moo one last time. You have to escape the cow ranch to win the level. It should be easy as you have a fast mount called “Lightning”. This is unique situation where you don’t slay them but its more of a puzzle level. Rewards are mostly cosmetic ‘stickers’.
Rumor has it there’s another new area called “Realm of Monsters”. It makes extensive use of the new vertical climbing system to gain access to the entrance, where you perform a ritutal to gain entry. Once you enter the realm of monsters, there are some frightening enemies unique to the area, but the biggest is the gold covered decapod. You will engage this decapod as it shakes loot from its back. Its tough, more like a world boss. You can use the new emoji system to engage it in conversation while your team tries to get loot off it. Some people just go down to find goddess-granted legendary hooks and then exit with the loot without fighting it. Once you beat the decapod or want to escape, you have to time it just right to ride a water stream out. High risk high reward.
The very last new secret level that i’ve heard about, again rumor chain, is something called an Enchanted Forest. Enchanted Forest will require alot of high resistances- earth, fire, water and air. But most importantly, you’re going to need to stack alot of cold resistance to make it out alive. In addition, there are some giant stone monsters that again, are tough to fight alone, more like world bosses. It was hard to translate but i think they might be called “Mars Giants” or “Earth Giants”. Anyways, you don’t want to fight them, but you can clear our the hordes of trolls surrounding them in the Arrendale regions. Lastly, there’s further use of the new vertical climb system for a dam. Do be careful trying to engage the dam, make sure you have plenty of cold spells handy for what happens next.
So as you can see there’s rumors of many, many different new levels. I think they will offer something for everyone.
Of course this is just rumors, or a wish list. Your choice.
