Will return when one shots are fixed

Great season, great endgame, massive improvements.

Fix one shots at high pit levels, PLEASE.

Thanks!

They consider one shot mechanics a fundamental part of endgame.

This is just how games are made now. MMOs, ARPGs, even action games. They’re all filled with one-shot mechanics. Rather ironic considering all the studies showing pretty conclusively how a fairly large percentage of gamers prefer things they can just turn off their brains and play.

In any case, it’s not going to change.

I just watched that Asmon video too

Asmongoloid has a video on it? Now that’s hilarious. … Also not surprising, I suppose. That dude’s terminally online status comes in handy at times.

Did he buy a new shirt yet so he doesnt look like he just woke up under a bridge with cheeto stains. a hangover, and a new ugly tattoo?

then they are stupid.

i came here to post the exact same thing. Came back to check out the game. Got to pits and high nightmare dungeons. And the amount of one shots out of thin air are completely frustrating.

i can’t stand that excuse. “this is how it is”

Why the hell is that an excuse people think is valid? Are you THAT uncreative?

If you want to make a difficult game, you must be a good game designer. Have you played Souls games? Have you seen bosses that are invincible 30% of the time while the ghost of another boss is flying behind them? Are the pit bosses really hard? No, they’re just frustrating

You seem to be either missing or misconstruing the point, I’m not sure which. I didn’t say it’s good design, now did I? I said that’s just how it is. As in, gamers can’t change it. It would be virtually impossible to convince game designers to change course without first convincing the lion’s share of players to simply stop buying games until their demands are met. You know what you aren’t going to convince enough people to do? Stop buying games.

So yeah, that’s just how it is. People can either live with it or find a new hobby.

You do understand what a discussion is for, right?

Maybe I should have kept more 4 affix dmg resist gear on eternal. Damn! NEver got 1 shot so much. Even in AoZ!

That’s kinda where things are at, yeah. The only way to survive in season 4 is to make sure your armor and resistances are capped. Those should be your #1 and #2 priorities. Your #3 and #4 should be stacking as much HP and barrier/percentage damage down as you can possibly get. Damage comes after.

I got tyrael might. 76% resist all, 17k life (apparently low but Im sorc so whatevs will work on it, capped armor and greater affix on tibault for resist close. Maybe barrier gen temper will help.

Oh, that 17k is what’s doing you in. You need way more than that. I’ve got almost 40k on my necro, and stuff in the later Pits will still almost delete me if I screw up. I definitely still need more health.

Unfortunately, the deeper I go in the Pit, the more convinced I become there’s going to be a point where even the trash mobs can one-shot you. It may not even be possible to get enough survivability to live through making a mistake in the last 20 or so floors, and even if you can, there’s a strong possibility you’ve sacrificed too much damage to get there.

So I just need greater life on every single item, 5 rubies in armor, every life node in paragon, and what else? 40k? Dats alot of life. Ive never had 40k life on any sorc evar.

Yeah, if you can keep your armor cap without skull gems, definitely put maxed out rubies in your armor. Try to get as many health nodes as you can without sacrificing an unacceptable amount of damage. You’ll probably also want to try and maintain maximum uptime on as much barrier as you can possibly get for yourself without gimping your damage to the point you can’t clear in time.

Im frozen orb sorc. I already cant clear boss in time.

 :sob:

There are a couple frozen orb sorc builds floating around that can do pretty well, but I think they start to cap out around floor 80 if you don’t have a shako. They uh… also kinda get nuked by trash packs if for some reason you fail to kill them before the CC wears off, but that’s everybody at this point.

Can confirm. I dont have maxed glyphs and optimized gear (except my Tyrael Might is nice and my 50/70 conjure 2 winterglass) so I could see myself getting to 80 and crapping out which I guess is fine. Make this into a zoom zoom helltide farmer show off build with max movement speed while my necro minion build afk the boss at pit 50 while I make coffee.
