How is this going to work in the Fields of Hatred now, it seems like anyone who has the VoH (with Runewords and Mercenaries) will destroy people with only the base game.
i mean you have mercs and runes. so yea.
but then again, expansion always give new powers. i mean, if you are this heavily invested in a game and want to pvp, id say its pretty self explanatory that youd get an expansion.

I wouldn’t go into ever thinking you will be having a good time playing D4 without the Xpack. This is going to lead to all kinds of people being disappointed, like our brethren that play Eternal.
It will be interesting to see people who have said they will not purchase the VoH but will be playing it in October.

I didn’t buy the expansion and I don’t intend to. If Blizzard blackmails players like this then they will lose a massive portion of what’s left of their player base.

If they buy the expansion, they have access to the NEW Features. If they don’t … well, they will STILL have access to the OLD Features for what they paid for. Much like Diablo 3.
If they go to Fields of Hatred, which they won’t, but if they go, they go fully knowing what they expect.
Diablo 4 VoH is a GAME Upgrade not downgrade.

Xpac and non xpac wont be sorted into 1 instance. In D3, non expansion accounts can not join a expansion character created room/server.
