I remember seeing a discussion the other day where a D4 dev hinted at the fact that our early access characters might be deleted on the 6th to make the race to lvl 100 fair for everyone, does anyone know the definitive answer to this?
Because if our characters get deleted then I don’t see a reason to play before the 6th.
I’m not partaking in the race, I’m only playing for the story and fun gameplay so I’m not gonna create a hardcore character anytime in the near future.

I can just imagine the outrage now if Blizzard actually did this.
I highly HIGHLY doubt they would ever seriously consider deleting all early access characters just so less than 0.1% of the playerbase might have a chance at some contest.

Eurogamer made an article about the race and Rod Fergusson responded on Twitter.
If they do then early access def mislead the public and I am sure a lawsuit would ensue.
I doubt they will do that.
They were referring to the early access that was limited to streamers/reviewers, not the paid early access available to everyone.
The race to 100 has already started, and will probably be finished before anyone who only purchased the base edition gets access
