Why there is no future for the game

My opinion on why the game has NO future

  • Story Mode Cannot be Repeated On Tier 3 or Tier 4. This is BAD, REALLY BAD

  • The game open world Density is BAD, monsters take ages to respawn after you kill them, you walk 1 minute without seeing a single monster sometimes, its REALLY BAD.

  • Events Respawn is too LONG, this is BAD, REALLY BAD

  • Side Quests REWARDS are NOT Worthy, this is Really BAD

  • StrongHolds Cannot be Repeated Once completed, BAAAAD

  • Horse Only has 3 or 4 Speed Charges, BAAADDDD

  • Leveling Solo is Very Slow, Group Leveling is Faster, This is REALLY BAD

  • Skill Tree is AWFUL, Needs Rework, each Skill have only 2 Options in Diablo 4, BUT in Diablo 3 each Skill have 5 (!) OPTIONS called RUNES to Create Build Diversity, this is REALLY BAAD, BAAADD, did you know this?

  • Nightmare Dungeons BACK TRACKING - EVENTS in the middle of Dungeons, Bad Design of Dungeons with EMPTY ROOMS, Bad Choice of Dungeons for Nightmare Dungeons, All of this to create more tim Wasted = More time played in-game. Really Bad, everything is really bad. The objective should be getting to the FINISHING Line

  • STASH - All Items ( ex. Rings and Chest Armor ) Take the Same Big Slot Size on Inventory on Diablo 4!!! BAAADD, On Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 Rings Take Little Slot and Armor Chest a Bigger Square on your Stash.

My CONCLUSION: This Game Has no Future Because the Deciders (Suits) want to make the players Spend MORE time playing the game so they can Show that in the financial Reports.

For them More Time Played = Potentially More Time Spending Money on Shop

All Systems in-game are made to waste time, And Nothing will Change.

Diablo 4 only chance is when Microsoft buys Activision-Blizzard in October and change direction. Cya in Season 2.

This is exactly it. Time will not help this game. It’s made strictly to meet metrics they can show shareholders as evidence for profitable projections. That’s it. Every mechanic decision is guided by that imo.

What in the world are you agreeing with? You think investors care about “game time”? No way we want a return on our investment. Of all the things in this post that are correct that is absolutely the one that is 10000% wrong.

We aren’t going to invest our funds in a company if they don’t show CONTINUED REVENUE. Who cares about hours played.

They care about the guidance part of quarterly reports. Stocks move mostly on that – which makes shareholders money. So having projections that expect profit is what companies want most. Creating ways to convince shareholders they will be profitable in the future is the key. Molding and shaping engagement and time metrics are how they can do that if the game itself is not working out.

Which is why they tried to slow the game down so much this patch. They want to show players playing longer, so they can project higher profit for cosmetics. Data shows players who play longer are more likely to spend.

All just my opinion.

that’s not even the problem, the real problem is that the game doesn’t have basic tools for community games like finder or even a global chat

  • Every time I log into this game I find myself thinking “what were the devs thinking when they made this”

Yes, they care. Blizzard has changed their reporting a long time ago to be based on MAUs (monthly active users.) You are crazy if you don’t think they care about retention in a game designed to bring in constant cashflow through MTX. Retention is the biggest factor in those sales. Even Call of Duty (another Activision game) reports MAUs to the investors.

…is this one of the posts you said earlier that is …helping the game?!

LOL

Gtfo!

You can’t project profit if there isn’t ongoing and continued revenue. That’s called fraud. Several cryptocurrencies have already got in huge trouble for such actions.

The most recent report they released stated the game was “Still selling well enough and is projected to surpass Diablo 3’s sales.”

Now, If that doesn’t end up being the case and when they are pushed for official sales numbers directly after the holidays (which is common) they will have to explain themselves.

Of course. But that’s why running a public company with many assets is a bit like spinning plates. They’re timing WoW HC to open up so it can be included in the next quarterly, and bridge any gaps having not met cosmetic sales goals has made. Lots of people will activate wow subs for that. They’ll figure it out. The company is good at that. They can easily take a slight earnings miss and follow up with positive guidance and see a bump up. That’s how it always works. Guidance is king.

Game time doesn’t equate to sales continuation neither does retention if sales aren’t happening. You are assuming most members would be buying mtx I guess? Even PoE only about 10% of the accounts spend money on stuff yearly if we go by their reported income.

You think they are banking just on continued sales of the base game? No, most of their revenue is in mtx and subscriptions. By a huge amount. Go look at their report

No. I think they’ll make more off Game and Expansions sales than they will off MTX by far. Heck they made more in 5 days off sales than PoE did in 6 years.

Well, I guess not if you include Battlepasses but to me Battlepasses are about the same thing as a sub.

I agree with all of your points but I also think they are working to fix all of this

They will make far more off mtx than off box sales. Box sales is a once every two year thing. Sure you get some trickle here and there. People buy mtx whether is barbie doll, battle pass, or whatever other convenience they put in the store every single month. Just two to three cosmetic sales one month is the same as a box price.

Not a chance they make more off the box then they do mtx. Unless of course the game tanks and there is no retention… which is what I said to begin with. They care about retention. Apparently you didnt look at the portion of the report I posted right there for you to see. MTX is like 3 times that of game sales.

Do you see a lot of mtx cosmetics running around except for battlepass ones? I rarely see any.

It doesnt matter what you see. I dont even look at people. You see 12 people. 10 million people purchased the game… or more maybe. There are a lot of casual barbie guys out there whether you want to admit it or not.

Just look at the sales report dude. Read through it. MTX is the biggest revenue stream in anything. Look at COD, one of if not the biggest Activision titles. It made more off their new premium battlepass than anything else ever. Box sales are nothing. It’s not where the money is for Activision.

Candy crush makes more money than anything lol.

It doesn’t even make sense what I’m seeing when I click that. It’s like a kid made it.

No reference to if it’s talking millions, billions or anything. It’s not detailed at all.

This was released by ABK?

Hang on it probably disappeared because I deleted the image. Let me put it back up
