I get it, Barbs have been the undeniable S tier class for pretty much all of the previous seasons. However, with season 5, it’s as though like Blizz is telling us not to play barb. It’s like in the L tier or sumshat. It’s not even close to other classes. I don’t get it man, you kinda want a broad playerbase that plays all ranges of all the classes. You dont have to nerf it to the level of dumpster fire right.

blizzard couldn’t take the sorc player tears on the forum any longer and had to scrap barb. fun fact, almost no barb player is crying now about how broken op sorc is. reason? bc barb players are real man, while sorc players need 2 hours in the bathroom every morning.

actually ive seen quite some threads from barb players about sorcs and rogues needing a 50% nerf.

Sorcs need a nerf they should not be clearing zones while holding down one button~!
That being said I feel barbs need minor tweaks but they only seem super weak compared to other classes

nah, the tiers lists have been adjusted, you know, like always a few weeks into the season.
barbs do end up on B tier and below.
My barrage rogue dropped a bit as well… guess its time to get my hands on some andy ^^

Ah yes the infamous tier lists. Not gonna lie that one is pretty bad. Is it just based on who can push higher in the Pits? Wait it was created by Rob, so yea that must be it. Still enjoying my necro regardless. I have no doubt this will all be changed when the expansion hits anyway. Spiritborn will be S+ and everyone else will be C tier. The forums will be rather fun when the expansion comes out.

i think d4builds does a general tier list, taking pits, hordes etc into consideration.
but yea, i play what i like as well

It seems crazy that we’re 5 seasons in and seeing such massive shifts in balancing. I mean the Sorc archetype should always be the highest damage dealer consistent with it’s class fantasy, but is supposed to be somewhat glass cannon.
I’m over here with my sacrifice necro (bone spear) and feeling like I am running around in my ginch for the first 8-10s of each IH wave waiting for my stormshield to ramp up my barrier and necrotic carapace to have my fortification kick in. All the while slipping in my own feces trying to avoid having a Desecrator one-shot me

Its because barbs smell. Its been three seasons now. Hit the showers and dont come out until we call for you.
I kidd. The nerf bat was a little rough. Im sure it will be made right next season. Im also sure that bat will be swinging at rogue next.
Based on potential damage output and survival which is then used to predict how far in the pit it may go. At least at the start of the season. Now they are basing it on how fast you can farm t8 hordes mainly from what I e seen. Although I haven’t seen anything in over a week so who knows what’s changed.

Class power is a zero sum game. There are only so many stat points blizzard has to distribute each season. For one class to go up another must come down.
To simply have all classes be good at the same time is absurd, it just isn’t possible. Why you ask? Well there is no answer for that you just have to take my word for it.
But you say “If they can make a class good why can’t they just do what they did to make that class good and do it for the other classes?”. That’s a great question that I won’t answer.
Barb still hits one target decent, they just look bad by comparison because they don’t have a lot of wave clear.
I know exactly how this feels if you’re playing a Firewall or Firebolt Sorc. I agree the OP LS/FO sorc needs to be toned down but I am not expecting it to happen until S6.
For now, enjoy the build. Remember back when Ball Lightning was godly in S2. Where is it now?
What I disagree with some folks is claiming that Sorcs are OP and need to be nerfed when they are only looking at the meta. When the day comes where Incinerate and Firewall are the meta, then probably Sorc indeed needs a hard nerf lol.

No, because there was never any “barb” players. There were only meta players and boss they are all sorc.
Those who says crying about barb nerfs? Now those are true barb players.
