that would make sense, if when you get on the mount the camera didn’t instantly zoom out further and allow you to travel literally everywhere in game. but sure performance is the reason

This issue needs to be addressed ASAP.
The zoom level is nauseating.
Make sure we can see the grass, and flowers we pick…why else?

People need to stop exaggerating about how zoomed in D4 is. My characters in D2R and D3 are like the size of ants. I do think there shouldn’t be extra zoom-in in town
