Why can’t Blizzard just let the content creators write their reviews when the game is released to everyone else, why should they get the game earlier for a review. Content creators are the first maggots on the meat. They always provide game content when no one was asking for it and give spoilers to all the new games, this is how to do this, and this is best build, blah blah blah, to make a buck, The time of wondering how the new games work is long gone, now content creators just spoon-feed all possibilities and all aspects of the games by wonderful maggot streamers trying to make a buck and who can get the best nugget of info on their title to generate profit from views, when no one is asking for them to give any info on new games. I know I am just on a rant. But still doesn’t any one else fill they wish they could play a new game without being able to look up everything on Google and watch anything they want to know about a game from content providers wouldn’t it be nice like when d2 first come out, not knowing anything but a big book if ya bought it are World of Warcraft. I remember the first time I played wow and took the tram from SW to IF and thought I would never make it back after going to wetlands. The point i am trying to make is times change I guess, but so wish there was a way to make the content maggots shut their mouths up about certain tricks are niches in games. Ok, rant is over, just wondered if anybody else fills the same way.
You are surprised that people making reviews and spreading news of the game to hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of people get access early?
Why does this forum so viciously hate content creators so much LOL
this is NOT normal
It absolutely is.
See Path of Exile and the incident where they let content creators skip the login queue for sponsored streams. Massive backlash and they apologized and said they would never do it again, everyone would be equal in getting in to the game.
It really isn’t normal. It effects you 0%… unless you are hate-watching them?
I don’t think they should get in early but I also am not super enraged about something that effect me 0% such that I rage and call them maggots.
Do they get to keep their progress ahead of everyone else? If so, that’s not cool.
You dont think that content creators, or in this specific case the early access is given to ppl who work for different companies as REVIEWERs, an actual JOB, is not correct for them to get early access? Thats called marketing bro.
Every single product that is made in the world from a hand soap to a brand new car model is given first to the ‘Reviewers’ as they are responsible for marketing purposes and spreading the word, the experience and their professional standpoint of the product prior to its release. Its just a business and video games are a business too.
If you want early access to stuff, then become a Reviewer yourself and get contract to work with X,Y,Z.
Because, some of these content creator will also be writing build guides and other stuff for 3rd party sites like Maxroll, Icy Veins etc for people so, they can be ready to be used as reference upon release.
Is this going to be tied to the Paid Subscription Twitch Drops event?
The Diablo 4 Primal Instinct Mount can be rewarded by gifting qualifying streamers two Twitch subscriptions in its new Support a Streamer campaign.
The campaign will go live on June 5, 2023, and will end on July 2, 2023, so you’ll have just under a month to grab this unique-looking mount for Diablo 4.
What a well reasoned take.
And are they talking about reviewers like PC Gamer?
Are they just upset because PC Gamer wrote an article that didn’t go D4 is the best game ever?
lol
It is normal when the company shows them favor over other customers. It happens in the Star Citizen Forums also.
It won’t effect you.
And does this game even have trading?
Well I guess dropping gear for other guy. I did do that for a friend. But for like higher tier items.
Who said that Reviewers who will get early access so they can write the media articles about the game do not sign NDA and are absolutely not allowed to specify anything else exept for overall article about the game, its functions, the gameplay etc all those basic stuff but without revealing any specific details?
i remember that…
content stealers get to dodge queue
while we normal plebs had wait hours and even get kicked for a streamer
My friend, we are in 2023 gaming area, there is article about everything and anything for any single game. Who cares if those will come out 2-3 days before launch of the game? If you didnt accept the fact that this is how things work these days then why are u gaming even?
You are the one playing the game, if you want to enjoy it the way you want without reading how to do X, where to farm Y, how to beat Z, etc then you have a CHOICE to ignore every single piece of media about that.
I get what you are saying but at some point you got to accept how this are now days and try to ignore that and enjoy yourself the best you can.|
P.S - from my perspective for example I never liked the so called “Meta” stuff in games. If I want to use a skill that I enjoy visually even tho its not AS effective as the meta then I will do what I want because I enjoy that. You do not have to follow whatever the content creators do and say. If everyone else do and want to follow step by step stuff without them trying to figure stuff on their own then let them do it. This does not affect you.
I see what the OP is saying … bearing that in mind …
To Blizz … content creators are providing FREE ADVERTISING for a Blizzard Product … while you and I know about this game, Diablo 4, there are other viewers who actually listen to what the content creators do and say … so … we are talking about hundreds of thousands (and, depending on the content creator, millions) of viewers/followers who Blizzard cannot reach on their own … or … they did reach them … but without the “blessing” of their favorite content creator, are withholding their money … in a sort of “wait and see” mode/status … unless … their fav streamers, post a vid that basically says, “Hey, this game is cool. Give it a try.” BAM! Blizzard just got an even larger infusions of players/customers … all for FREE.
I put focus else where, knowing I may not be that good at theory crafting build, and have the time to do so, I sure appreciate the experts out there that can do it for us to reference on.
My focus is on progression and gearing.
It could be argued that using a company’s IP to make money isn’t Blizzard getting something for free. I’d even bet that there are people that don’t buy the games because they can just watch streamers play through them. Not that I would claim that the number of people that do that is higher than the ones that end up buying or anything. It just isn’t free like you claim.
“cOntEnT cReAtoRs” and other assorted influencers are the scum of the earth. literal walking advertisements that contribute ZERO to civilization.
