Why ptr feedback?

They did the exact opposite of the feedback provided by the players. What was the purpose of the feedback section

Allow me to translate some words that nowadays have different meanings:

“Beta”-Early access so people will get hyped and sell product. Make more profit by offering said access for “Ultimate” editions.

“Live”-Beta.

“PTR”-convince people they are being listened to, generate hype for next patch. Issues to he addressed in next “live” release at best.

Further reasoning why I don’t and never will pre-order games.

This got implemented.

“Rare and lower-quality loot will be auto-salvaged starting in Torment difficulty.”

“Impairment Reduction will no longer appear on items.”

“Non-Ancestral Legendary items can now be Masterworked up to 8 times and have two Tempering Affixes.”

“Material costs for Masterworking at lower Ranks have been adjusted.”

“The chance for Uniques to roll as Ancestral has been significantly increased.”

Blizzard listen to feedback. Not yours specifically. Just someone’s else feedback. Usually the feedback that goes in line with their own design philosophy.

If they did the opposite of what the feedback was, it indicates it did have a purpose. Showing Blizzard what not to do.

This one is such a joke  Guess they finally found out what to do with rares…

From what I could tell they definitely listened to feedback and tackled issues found from the PTR. Whether they got everything or solved it in a way that people were hoping for is going to be hit-and-miss.

Which is really all that can be asked for, let the devs cook.

I haven’t looked at patch notes yet, but i know barb getting some buff, as that was a complaint in both ptr and s5.

An who know we might still get some change later on, not everything can be implemented so quickly. However with some of thing change and being implemented cause of feedback I’m happy with.

The ptr changes are completely BS!

  • no increased droprates for ga items
  • LS-Sorc + Winterglass (affects also Frozen Orb Build) nerfed into the ground
  • buffing enemy health instead of nerfing the annoying pit bosses
  • cannot craft horde keys anymore
  • no equal droprates for torment bosses, Duriel/Andariel better again …
  • (to be continued…)

Blizzard very rarely care for feedback

I believe the pit bosses were nerfed going into the PTR, and these changes to elites are after. (So pit bosses are still much faster kills now).

Did people ask for more expensive items in the store.

That’s 100% FALSE.

Directly from patch notes:

  • Ancestral Items are now guaranteed to have at least one greater affix.
  • The chance for Uniques to roll as Ancestral has been significantly increased.
  • The Greater Chest (Infernal Hordes) now contains a guaranteed Ancestral Legendary.

Have you played it?
…oh wait. That’s a no. Were you honestly expecting a build doing billions of damage to remain intact?

Doesn’t matter, because they are now the same key, should stack, and tied to difficulty. No need to craft them.

What do you mean? They pretty much listened to all the streamer feedback.

Right… im watching the campfire. Looks like everything is a loot pineta again with participation throphies.

I like less loot. Rares and below are gone in Torment.

Yeah but still PTR was exciting because ga were not raining from the sky. Now ga will rain from the sky.

Some interesting takes in here. I’m guessing they didn’t implement YOUR idea? I saw several things that I wanted changed or read other people asking for implemented. Do you really expect them to agree with and prioritize every single suggestion?

You are unfortunately right. But those 15 people will be the first ones to jump ships if ordinary people are not watching them playing D4. Maybe, just maybe this should be accounted for by Blizzard. Don’t mention I know I’m dreaming :slightly_smiling_face:

I was one giving feedback for Penitent difficulty to be available right away at level 1. So at least there’s something they didn’t go the opposite of!
