Probably the best hack’n slash of the moment. Of course there’s others great games in others categories, but as an hack’n slash, I don’t see better for now.
diablo 2 is 10x better thans diablo 4…

It’s also 10x played out…: I’ve done everything in that game… last Merc I had was act5 with Ethreal Last Wish Colossus blade… Eth Fortitude and dream helm… for the LuLz….

Some of us played D2 to death a long time ago. And then got our nostalgia kicks when D2R launched.
Same with D3. Played D3 into the ground already.
PoE isn’t fun.
Last Epoch stuck in internal beta.
It’s currently not a good game. It was fun on release but they’re slowly making it worse and worse. For profit

Well it doesn’t bring anything, that’s the issue.
Waited 12 years from the colossal letdown of D3 to an even bigger one. These guys used “uniques” to lure in D2 players (like myself) and ended up being a scam.
I got scamazed.

Want some fire boots that give you the Blaze skill from Diablo 2? Nope but for some reason there is an ice version instead, Goooooooooooo Ice!
Not saying you are doing it, but I’ve seen a lot of people start the game, google best meta build, and then level 1-50 in the same stronghold. Then they wonder why the game sucks.
I started this way too, but eventually decided to slow down and level in the real world, doing random dungeons, events, etc.
It makes 1-50 slower, but by the time I reached NMDs, I wasn’t already burned out.
In the end, all games are a waste of time and we will move on from any game we decide to play. If you aren’t happy, try Last Epoch, Grim Dawn, POE. Check out D4 again next year to see if it improved.

It has nothing at all over any other good arpgs out there. Infact i would say it underperforms on the core stuff like itemization, endgame, replayability and loot in general. Im trying Remnant 2
Unfortunately, i play the games my friends play. We all kind of just agree that D4 is the common ground because of childhood nostalgia. So sad to see it in this state.
This game is braindead (and i mean it in good way) so i can listen to podcasts or completely relax. If only there was some endgame content after WT4…
Atm it is better to do something else. Yeah you can play it at first a while, explore ñ, find things. But replayability is minimal. I got my money worth in time but nothing else. Look else where and touch grass if you want heheheh
Great question as many share the same question posed to themselves. Reason to play? Nothing. No reason exists to play this abomination.
