I believe it would be much better for us players if Blizzard gave us the option of purchasing set items separately. In this case, we can choose what to buy from each set and not be forced to buy the entire set.
Yeah, Fatshark does this in WH40K Darktide (awesome game, you should check it out).
I understand, I’ll take a look
I would buy everything I liked, if I had the freedom of choice. Instead they are oddly packaged choices like a weird sorcerer ONLY outfit with a dagger and wand.
Cool, so now they want me to spend another $25 just so I can have an offhand with another ugly prepackaged outfit. Greedy marketing hurts the players choices and in my case, I just don’t buy because how obvious the FOMO marketing is, I can’t support that. Buuuut I want to you see?
The reason given so far is they want the skins to feel unique and worth while
Let us get it in game through fun achievements and challenges perhaps then?
I dont disagree
Im just giving the reason.
You know i have hundreds of skins in LoL and i havent touched a skin in a game series i love a lot more. I think that shows there is something wrong with the cost and bundling atm
The real reason: The whales haven’t slowed down on buying them yet.
When whales stop buying full skin packs, they’ll split them individually to milk people like you.
Given how arrogant and corporate the pricing is… i think its more just one of those.
Isn’t the current pricing an activision / diablo immortal standard? I think they’re just trying to be expensive and forcing this mentality regardless of how people actually use the store, its one guy having an attitude in an office somewhere.
Something that always struck me as odd, wow had what 10 million concurrent subs at one point… they just let it creator to whatever it is now, is it even a million… instead of doing the more natural thing of lowering the sub price.
Blizzard and activation have always so overtly and exclusively been on their side only and screwing over players at every turn.
Well they are owned by microsoft now, and don’t have to be so stupid anymore. They have the data on how much money bethesda make with eso, and all the other studio’s… so there’s a chance it might have some sanity implied to make win/wins instead of just bobby wins / fu.
i want some of those sorc daggers for my rogue, but there is no way im paying 25 bucks just to use one item from a set.
You said the reason right there.
It’s better for us and worse for Blizzard’s wallet.
I’d be much more inclined to purchase a single $5-10piece that I actually want instead of a $20-30 full set of useless items. So I’ve been holding off on buying anything - but perhaps other people decide to jump in and that works well for Blizzard.
I have that similar problem with guild wars 2 haha… and same result with d4. Good talk fam.
