In Diablo 2 i love necro summon build.
But why is it fun for me?
Its fun for me because the minions tank alot of the damage i would be taking myself.
I Enjoy cursing monsters and making them weaker for my monsters to kill.
It is fun hiding around inside my minions, now and then a monster will get through and take a big chunk of my hp, or kill me.
This makes working around my minions fun.
Diablo 4 -
Minions are just another damage skill, Your character basically takes no damage anyways so the minions only usage, is do damage…
You are not trying to position yourself around your minions and use curses…
You just chuck a whole load of damage skills on and let the minions follow you.
This is why Diablo 4 and minion builds are not fun for me, You never really take any damage.

Buff the monsters and bosses HP+Attack outside of Nightmare dungeons because the games a pathetic joke?
Didn’t realise this about the open world. Anyone is fine in open world, not just this spec.
I’m pretty sure D2 necro was fun because corpse explosion was the 2nd strongest skill after teleport.
Screen-wide CE allowed for risky tele-stomps accelerating the summoner build.
D4 doesnt let you tele-stomp. It also doesnt let the necro screen wipe with 1 corpse explosion.
Never used CE on Diablo 2 i used a different minion build.
Even if you could tele stomp in D4, it would be just as boring as running because all the mobs die on your screen from playing mindlessly anyways
Oh, you really like playing as minion commander. Fair enough! D2 gave you up to 60 summons, so can definitely feel safe in the thick of it.
Minions function as support and utility skills in this game, attached to brittle bodies. We’re never getting a full on summoner build in D4.
