Why lvl cap the main campaign?

The fact that if you play the main story you have to power through other wise you will get so over leveled that it makes the boss fights trivial. It is very upsetting that if I want to go the next tier that I can not go back and play the main campaign, with a harder setting and then go on to tier 4. It would make the game so much more fun if I could play the story on harder settings.

Blizzard games are not “for fun” they are for profit, that’s why the Overwatch PvE was scrapped.

I agree, the other thing that was maybe confusing is that so much content is available outside the story. I nearly 100%'d fractured peaks before moving on, but knowing im just nerfing my exp at this point not being able to get to W3 forced me to blitz the campaign. I liked doing all the exploring as I went, but it really doesnt seem to be setup for that. I also kind of trivialized the campaign inadvertently.

Maybe a bunch of the side quests needed to become available after the campaign was done? Im not sure of the solution, I did enjoy going through and doing all the different stuff, was super fun. Looking forward to discovering all the side stuff in the other zones when Im done A5.

Enemies are capped to 50. It’s quite easy to hit 53-55 in the campaign, which is a MASSIVE advantage.

That means that ultimately, regardless of skill, everyone can complete the campaign.

If you want to rush it and prove what a gamer you are - go for it. WT3/WT4 are there. Nobody is stopping you.

Lastly - you only need to do the campaign ONCE. Every character you make after can skip it.

You do realize you can not do T3 on campaign it will only go up to T2 right??

Blizzard is strange with levels…

Like why force a min-level for plenty of zones when you skip the story. They did the same with WoW and chromie time. The skip/scaling is meant to give us liberty of choosing where to go but then the min level requirement forces us straight back on the same path as the story.

How? I just did the main campaign going from quest to quest not even attempting to speedrun it and I was 10+ levels underleveled in T4-T6.

Exactly the level cap makes no sense.

Yea level scaling ruined my campaign experience as well. Really poorly made game.

The only requirement is that you complete the T2 capstone, not the campaign. If you’ve completed the campaign once, you can skip everything and do the T2 capstone whenever. You can even be carried through it. For most classes, you can do it in the 30’s without assistance. You do realize you can do that, right???

My wife did everything in Fractured Peaks, and left the first Act at level 48. She hit all the statues, did all the sidequests, and hit every dungeon once. It’s quite easy to (over)level in this game, especially early on.

That dungeon is only available in adventure mode not campaign… at least until you complete the campaign
