I’m lvl 100, i’ve got the ring twice, all other Necro unique multiple time, but not a single Black River.

I have been running Necro since day 1 and haven’t seen a Mendeln drop either. I wanted to play a minion build - and I did up until around level 80 when it was just too painfully slow without the ring. Basically forced to respec, I went “Infinimist” and immediately began clearing much higher content and NM dungeons. I just dinged 95 earlier today and got my 5th Mother’s Embrace drop. So much for being able to “play your way”.

This is true. It also makes me sad, because a solo summoner necro without ring of mendeln or amulet deathspeakers pendant will struggle, and may not be able to complete high 40 nm dungeons.

So damn true, is so annoying. Like I legit have to ask for help before going into those dungeons!
It’s just RNG. My level 60 Necro got it from a T23-25 NMD.

Anyone know how to submit this to Blizzard? There support links seems to take me no where. I think they need to check this for all players accounts. The dropping of specific uniques and none of some times are too consistant for many of us. Literally still grinding hard and no Ring of Meldeln and no Deathspeaker Pendant. I tried to sending the following to support but I get some random and unhelpful auto response:
Certain Uniques are not dropping for me as well as other players. I have been hardcore farming the Ring of Mendeln for a long time from Helltides, dungeons, events, legions, world bosses, and nightmare dungeons up to tier 55+. There still hasn’t been a Ring of Mendeln drop or a Deathspeaker’s Pendant. This is after weeks and weeks of farming for days on end. Others are experiencing the same issue of certain uniques not dropping for them at all and recieve multiples of others. Can I get the Ring of Mendeln some way? It is seriously killing my build and from others comments the random generator may be the primary cause here. I have even just ran nightmare dungeons over and over to see if the not only drops in the dungeon but at the end with a 0.0% drop rate at this point and I am now at level 94. Could someone please help me with this issue? Thank you.
A piece of gear that’s apparently required for a Necro, and I’ve never even seen it. This is just compounding the fact that the Necro is a glass cannon build with little life (because MINIONS) and the bosses and elites ignore the minions to 1-shot your character.
You will find one if you change your build. They implemented similar drop mechanic in Diablo 3. It is related to your skills.

i haven’t seen it still at 94.
putting required items for builds in game but low drop rate and 0 trade is a pretty bad design tbh
If I get one more Mfer’s Embrace…the excitement of a unique ancestral ring on the ground to anger is like when I learned season 1 of Severance is only 9 episodes after episode 9.
I got one yesterday, but really don’t know how to use it. May be I did not have bone prison 
I have got one with the maxed out aspect on it. I decided to replace it though with Aspect of the Umbral. Just because the Ring of Mendeln is not dropping I completely had to change my build. I am doing a bone + shadow + curse build now, and hoping that ring drops now.
It’ll drop regardless.
Finally got one last night after 100 levels and a few extra days of just playing.
Consistently using the same shadow+minion build I’ve been working on since level 1.
The trick is to say out loud so your console or PC can “hear” you that you are after something else.
Told my console I really wanted the Sever boots and right before I logged off, Mendeln dropped from end of NM rewards

LMAO, I need to talk to my PC then lol. I am at 98 now and still haven’t seen that stupid Ring of Mendeln. Congrats on your drop Belurion.

Ive gotten 4, its just RNG, keep grinding, itll drop, i promise. 
I finally got my first one this morning. That’s after saying I would call it if it didn’t drop for me after I hit level 100. Lol I am now at level 99.5, almost there. Still haven’t seen the necklace either.

I go stupid lucky. I was level 46, sitting at the door of a level 50 NM dungeon while my level 100 barb buddy was levelling me and a level 60 ancestral dropped. Perhaps, I will never own a shako, but nice to see the sun does shine!
Waiting to see what else they are going to do to the game. All these changes the essentially hinder the players is’t good at all. Btw any have any good new about minion builds with uber lilith after all the updates?
Ring of Mendeln is for advance Summoner builds. What i think is it might not drop for non Summoners. I might be wrong. I was with Blight Summoner when it dropped.
Black River is a super advance Summoner build. I got it at level 85+ while i was with Blight Mendeln Summoner. And i got anothet at level 92.
My Season 1 Summoner is just level 67. I dont want the Mendeln ring to drop yet as it might drop as Sacred since my level is a bit low. I want the Ancestral version. I want it to drop around with me at level 70+.
Anyway, i just got Howl from Below Ancestral version to replace my existing Sacred version. Maybe it’s time to drop on me anytime right now. Cross my fingers. If not, i would just stay with what i have. I am putting down NM dungeons with mobs 10 levels above me which is about right.
