Why isn't Forceful Arrow seemingly used more?

I’ve made a Rogue alt mainly for the crit strike mat and it’s easy to level toons now. I’ve been messing around with Forceful Arrow and (w/it being season of the basic) kinda like it. But, I’ve not seen people mention it much. It generates vulnerability, knocks back/down close targets, and has crit boosts.

Edit: I forgot to mention the % to 2x shot from tempering.

I’m currently in WT4 w/a 50s toon. I just run it w/Rapid Fire & Shadow clone and Dark Shroud. I was lucky and have a Melted Heart Ammy. So, when I’m in trouble I just use this basic attack while kiting. But, even w/o the Ammy it’s a nice ability to keep creeps off and w/Vamp basic attack Aspect on bow and another 30% from the other aspect it fires at a decent attack rate.

I was wondering if there’s a reason other basic’s are preferred for leveling? If anyone’s tried it as a basic attack for end game?

Pretty much any skill you build around works well for leveling. Around 30-40 Pit level is when alot of builds start to fall off as they don’t do enough damage to the boss.

Also Heartseeker and Puncture are just flat out better than the other basics. With Heartseeker you get 15% increase crit chance to the target, 16% increased attack speed and 75% chance to ricochet. Combined with double cast and Victimize, Heartseeker absolutely shreds targets and gives very good offensive stats.

Yeah, but along w/what I mentioned above I’ve been thinking about running 2x basics, granted one would be tempered for damage, while force could knockback/vulnerable & crit damage boost. W/Rapid fire as needed. As it is I only fill out 4 of the skill slots. Anyway, guess I’ll see when I get there.

Exploit Glyph makes enemies vulnerable and 1 affix for lucky hit chance to make enemies vulnerable is more than enough for Heartseeker.

Also with smoke grenade you daze the targets easily and keep them knocked down with Trick Attack. Heartseeker essentially does everything you want to do on its own.

In the amount of time it takes you to do the other skills Heartseeker will already have the room cleared.

Playstyle wise if that’s what you want to do, go for it. I’ve been trying to get a Flurry spam build going the better part of the season cause I like the playstyle. I made it to Pit 90 but the damage difference between Flurry and Heartseeker is insane.

Thanks for the info, but if anything drives me to change to Heartseeker it will be the Andrial’s Visage change. I’ll have to check skills, P-Board, tempers to see if it’ll boost that poison damage.

Heartseeker will always be better with a shako.

I doubt these upcoming changes will change that.

They really need to either fix that overperforming broken crap or buff the underperfoming broken crap. Make forceful arrow pierce on every shot would be a good start. Weird that it does less base damage considering it doesn’t track.

For leveling it doesn’t seem too bad. I’m in low 80s and it’s still useful in that it kills decently quick and keeps the riff-raff of me w/the knock back. It’s my 3rd toon, so I don’t play it as often or I’d have a better end game sense. But, the vulnerability helps vs bosses as well.
