@Soluss - Can you help me with this one?
This is on a Rogue character. Even better than last time, this is the exact same name item and it is a helm so there is no extra factor like the amulet.
Equipped item
SNAP FROZEN ADVENTURER’S HELM
Legendary Helm
667 Item Power
Each Chilled or Frozen enemy you Evade through grants you a Barrier that
absorbs 25 [18 - 127] damage for 5 seconds,
absorbing up to a maximum of 125 [89 - 634] damage.
Found item
SNAP FROZEN ADVENTURER’S HELM
Legendary Helm
750 Item Power
Each Chilled or Frozen enemy you Evade through grants you a Barrier that
absorbs 61 [28 - 196] damage for 5 seconds,
absorbing up to a maximum of 306 [138 - 981] damage.
The aspect on the found item seems to be better in every way. Everything is higher - the low end of the range, the high end of the range, and the actual value that is rolled.
At the blacksmith, the found item does not show that it will upgrade the codex when salvaged. Why not?
This has happened to me multiple times. The only reason I can think of is that the Aspect on a lower Tier item can roll at max values for that tier that are greater than the lesser roll of the higher tier aspect so the game considers it an upgrade. Even though the values are lower, the tier of the aspect is higher.
Also there is a display discrepencay. The base of the aspect are the only values that are shown. To get the proper values for the item tier you have to select the item at the occultist and preview the way the aspect looks on the item. It will show the item values vs the aspect values.
the range is based on the item power. try imprinting your current codex on a 750 rare or legendary. probably would be the same numbers and why that one isnt updating the codex

the values increase based on the item power, but the tier of the aspect is the same.
if you find a 750 item power helm and add the current saved aspect you should see its that same as the 750 one in your inventory.
They’ve also locked higher tiers of the aspect behind ancestral gear drops
