Why is this community so toxic?

You invalidated yourself by degrading other games of the genre, making yourself look toxic.

Criticisms are so across the damn board…

“How did they go from D3 to THIS?!”
“This game is D3 2.0”

“This game is copy pasta diablo game”
“This game is nothing like Diablo!”

“This game is such a generic ARPG”
“This game isn’t an ARPG at all”

Or my favorite…
“POE is so much better”(Thats why im here on the forums spamming POE advertisements for hours on end instead of playing POE) - POE fanboy

The same logic can be applied to any job that involves servicing a customer, in reality, you don’t own digital games, I mean technically you do but you don’t in the sense that you’re basically renting it out until they decide your time is up (ban).

Edit: Another thing to note is, the customer isn’t always right.

I dont understand people man. Diablo 4 has a very solid foundation. That said there are some valid concerns and issues.

Leaning too much to either side of “its perfect, and all criticism is invalid” or “this game is bad” is exactly the wrong choice.

Nice if bans be the way we lose our stuff, def wont be picking up D4 expos.

Imagine trying to scare people with a ban.

What about the bots that are currently inside The Botanica on WOTLK Pagle? Good 17~ I see.

Kara has a good 12 as well.

Tempest keep and Black temple only got 2. GOOOD JOB

Hop to it blizz.

That’s the reality of digital goods in the past 8 or so years now. You own absolutely nothing on steam, you own nothing on battle net or epic games or as far as GOG.

It can all be stripped away from you in a moments notice because you did something stupid.

Then do it.

Id love it.

Meanwhile you let bots farm for months. Since Classic WoW I have seen fly hacking kid.

Imagine trying to scare a customer with a damn ban. ACTUALLY.

What about the 38 dks in Atlerac Valley?

Either you’re too old to realize or your too young and stupid to notice that I’m not a blue post.

I’m telling you the reality of modern gaming, you own absolutely nothing you’ve bought on digital platforms over the past 8 to 10 years.

No you aren’t blue but you sure be acting like it.

I could careless if they banned me from this junk, if they letting dk bot trash still farm.

I never said they’d ban you, but everything that you’ve bought could be stripped away over a stupid decision made.

So (ban) didn’t mean ban? What does it mean.

They would be saving me. I could careless.

It means what it means, but they are unlikely to shut down your entire account over a singular WoW ban or something of the nature, there is this called three strikes and you’re out…

See there’s an issue here.

I have never once ever cheated in my life.

If they banned me it would do nothing but set me free and make them look bad.

You be damn sure even though I don’t care about my account. I will be spreading that.

You ruined Classic WoW, and you gunna try to scare with a ban.

Joke

If that was the case I would have been gone a long time ago. I get suspended or banned daily.

Make that 20~ bots in The Botanica. XD

I see “extremely vocal” on both sides. “Our game” referred to you as well. Legit feedback is any feedback, and more feedback should always be welcomed - especially negative feedback. It can only improve upon a product.

Yes, and the logic is still sound.

This is why many people want an offline mode so they actually own it.

Software as a service isn’t made for the customer. It’s made so the company has control, and a continuous income stream. It’s about money, and it’s awful.

We don’t NEED to buy any of those. It’s a choice, and it’s ours to make.

That there is nothing mega-epic happening when a player reaches character level 100, is an indication that the true endgame…is completing the Lilith campaign.

Anything after Lilith is a bonus, from the developer’s point of view.
