Why is the duping not being addressed?

Last season trade was disabled and this season dupers are going rampage, the whole market is full of duped items and there is no way for me to tell what is duped and what is not. How can I buy items from other players and know I’m not supporting them?

If your not swiping your credit card its a good indicator. Dupes are hear to stay and the unfortunate part of having open trade.

Nothing has changed in 20 years of online games with trade.

I don’t buy things with a credit card, but I do play a lot and I do sell the stuff I loot and don’t use. Just now I sold a 2ga ring for 15B gold. 4ga items aren’t necessarily locked behind RMT.

I can’t remember any duping in D3 except for the console versions, that’s where cheaters went nuts.

Well, according to the community manager, the devs are investigating this dupe. So, apparently, they do care…a minuscule amount.

But they obviously don’t trust their players enough to believe dozens of reports about duping and to disable trading before they’ve verified the dupe themselves. And then there are the innumerable trash players who would throw a fit if trading got disabled for even a second. They can’t please everyone. But F those players, imo.

Haha yes, D3 on console was ridiculous with all the items that didn’t even exist.

Don’t even bother replying to him, he thinks everyone plays with a credit card, and every time these topics are discussed, it’s always his response.

I’m really surprised blizzard hasn’t disabled trading yet, because even the boss materials are duplicated and the videos always show how to get thousands of them…

The main issue that is hurting the game with duping, is that people are trading for these items without participating in third party RMT, and having their time being wasted when the items poof.

I bought several items as well, if they poof I’m gonna quit this season because I farmed like 60 hours for these.

It’s because it is a major source of income for one of blizzard’s major sources of income. If they stop duping, they lose out on a huge amount of revenue from the farmers that won’t be buying as many keys for VoH.

The only way to get rid of the dupers is to enact D3 rules for trading.

I don’t understand what blizzard is waiting to do something, thousands of duped items and boss mats in game and they just dont care  btw people doing dupe since season start.

Where the heck are they getting 15B gold? I am roughly 1B now and had been playing the game at Para 266 now. Granted I wasted some gold here and there but I don’t think I have accumulated more than 4B at all.

Edit: I got a bunch of 2GA items. I probably should sell them but I don’t wanna get gold that came from duping whether direct or indirect

Best way is to keep an eye on the items you wanna buy. If it’s the same stat from dtrade (or another seller), it’s dupe probably.

I don’t go to dtrade but hopefully that one can list the same item multiple times and you can see which ones are duped

There’s a lot of items marked as “Make an offer” on dtrade. And when you do, you get a reply “not for trading for gold, rmt only”.
So yea, great site, amazing market on D4…

They should just get rid of trading altogether. Farm for your stuff and drop on the ground for party members only. You didn’t play together? You have no right to that item. done. I think that’s how D3 did it, but could be wrong, it’s been over 10 yrs.

I’m embarrassed to admit, I don’t know what rmt means?
Can you answer? thanks

Real Money transaction.

You pay some duper or bot farmer .25c per million gold or whatever the going rate is.

Or you buy duped boss farming materials with actual cash.
