What’s the point of trying to collect gear if nothing is going to drop above level 80? As a nearly level 100 character, it’s made going for new gear pointless. If they don’t hot fix this immediately they will see a huge drop off in players. Lack of players = lack of season sign ups = no money created going forward. Have immediately lost interest

The level required doesn’t determine its quality, the item level does (the three digit number). They have the same power, just lower level required. This is a good thing.
Item level requirement just got changed to cap at 80 for ancestral, which is a good change.
You dont want to go by level requirment anyway, that plays no part in stats or item power.
It should still be 100, item level or not. A level 100 character wants level 100 gear. I don’t see the necessity to cap at 80.
Well, considering level requirement gives no benefit whatsoever… then there is no benefit on raising to 100.
However at lvl 80 if you make an alt character you can use that gear at lvl 80.
For example: i never got black river unique until lvl 100, which sucked. But next time i make a necro i can use it when i hit lvl 80 on that character
