Why is no one talking about stash space?

Since there are people who play all classes, we clearly dont have enough stash space.

Anyway it’s a moot discussion as the devs already have said they want to give us more space but cant.

I think it might be a console limitation relative to crossplay and how inventory loads across all accounts to prevent inventory exploits, which has failed to stop duping anyway.

cause the devs dont care about what we want, it is all about what they want. get used to the industry til the idiots are fired. we complained for seasons about stash space and they gave us 1, ONE extra tab.

Blizzard has said numerous times they don’t promote hoarding. They could make millions by selling stash tabs, but they have some ethics and make their money the right way. By providing a great game and standing by it.

Seasonal stash space is barely enough but its eternal this stash space issue is a real problem as you have many characters and cant even give 1 TAB per character. This issue is only going to get worse and worse over time as more char slots will have to be added. We know why we cant have more space. Because Bliz coded their storage system like is was straight outta 1995 and loading other ppl stashes. Also armory is only going to make it worse with multi build support but it doesnt store these items for you.

The entire storage system needs to be rebuild from the ground up and Bliz needs to sell tabs. Get with the times and let players buy tabs. Everyone else does it. Its fine to do now as long as its not too much like 2-3$ a tab or something. Rune Tab for 5$. Boss Mats tab for 5$. Consumable Tab 5$.

Devs already weighed in on this, they would have given us more stash if they could already, but they can’t for technical reasons.

Hoarding isn’t the issue when you can objectively show that stash isn’t enough for the full continuum of play that they support.

Think Eternal Hardcore mode.

Thanks.

The reason no one mentions it now is its because it’s already been mentioned 200,000 times since the game launched and nothing looks to be changing about it any time soon.

One thing of note is we could all stop pack ratting. Of course you have stash space issues when you have an inventory or stash full of items you should have salvaged days or weeks ago.

The rune tab is an issue. More runes exist than the tab allows to be stored.

I’d rather they fix the issue of when I want to teleport out or open a chest or something with a cast bar and 1 monster slaps me and interupts it or an arrow from offscreen. I kill it. Then there’s another one. Teeth gritting and eyes bulging out of head Fist trembling

Let me teleport out. I am done. I am leaving.

Shill comment of the thread goes too Nyurei. May you get that green border soon.

The currency tab! This is how you should do item specific tabs but, this isn’t half baked enough for a diablo like.

While I’m sure some players will use all 5 I think for most people they’ll have 2 builds. One for pit pushing or high damage and one for everything else. Perhaps a 3rd to experiment with. There’s probably going to be a lot of cross over between builds too. This season I ran 3 builds but only needed to swap out a handful of gear to do it the rest remained the same.

I am curious how the system will handle that though.

Hey, hoarding is a recognised condition, some people just cannot help themselves lol

Highly recommend putting that dude on ignore. His comments are a waste of time to even notice much less read and risk a stroke from the stupidity of what he says. He’s been living on the boards since day 1.

Devs covered this in S1 update

They’re inept and incompetent when it came to coding.

The stash is somehow causing server stability issues as it pre loads for every player in the game session. That’s why we won’t get a stash update that makes sense in the year of our lord 2025.

Not because of design philosophy, or limiting player choices, or any other reasons besides blizzards own dev teams incompetence.

I could for sure use more space. main reasons being:

  • I like to play alts and alts need gear especially if you are going to play more than one class. i tend to try to gather all of the needed items for a basic setup before making them so i don’t have to play hovelled char while i try to attain items.

  • with GA items being so incredibly rare i feel like i must hold anything i get that i could possibly use for any of my characters or any alt i plan to make because i may never see that item again if i sell or salvage it.

  • The economy is totally out of control most max aspects or good items cost gold cap or near it. this is driving people including me to hang on to anything that might reasonably sell because if you buy 1 max aspect or good item you may suddenly be left with close to zero gold and will need to sell items if you want gold for anything

I believe the trend will be changed in S7 when armory is available. Players will make build based on the GA gears they receive from random drop. Like if I play a ball lightning sorc, when a GA Firewall gear drop, I will try to make a working FW build to set the entire sanctuary in blue flames with the extra skill rank effect. Some may want to make an Oculus build to enjoy the fantasy of reverse flash as it will turn the TP lightning to red color :grimacing:

Pushing high Pit in S7 would not be high on agenda for SB players (62%) as most of them already cleared Pit150.

Some build can be swapped with few gears like use different glove to switch from fireball to Chain lightning for the extra skill ranks. But other builds like DoT need a complete set of gears with DoT affixs. Flash farming builds also need different set of CDR affixs gear to achieve the maximum mobility to flash farm the map.

More players will prefer to experience new builds, which we need adequate stash space to support the gears.

Blizzard should focus making the next content around Armory. From my understanding there is no build loader in coming new Isometric ARPG. Ability to experience many builds without hassle can be one of the selling point for D4 to distinguish themselves from their competitors.

Hoarding is actually normal behavior.

Pathological hoarding is not.

Players are expected to hoard to some degree in this game, especially if eternal.

The are minimalists and Pathological hoarders playing this game.

The game needs to cover stash needs across the whole playing continuum, eternal hardcore having the highest gear load / stash load.

im not sure you know what a shill ist. Please educate yourself.

Nothing of this post is “shill”. I can only assume you learned that term from some angry internet friends and now try to use it. lol.

ngl, i wasnt even thinking about hardcore. Yea, i can see that the demand for stash might be big there.

Don’t worry, they’ll charge you guys for stash space down the road.

nah you are talking poe2 there.

POE already does, it wouldn’t be down the road… I’m sorry you have no grasp on reality, plus POE is FREE TO PLAY and D4 is a purchase. Also POE has more default stash space to begin with.

:person_shrugging:

Take your L.

poe2 isnt f2p. yet. =(
