Why don't the bosses drop mythics or legendary runes anymore?

I’m probably around 400 T4 boss kills. Not 1 mythic drop nor legendary rune drop from a boss. I mostly party up with 3 other people as I heard more people increases your odds, but nothing. What is the point of having boss keys, and doing boss fights if all they do is drop worthless garbage? If the drop rate is going to be this low, just get rid of them completely so people don’t waste their time doing a boring activity over and over.

Until today I had zero Mythic drops.
Than suddenly killing Zir or Gregoire I got three today. Amulet, the Bard Spear and Doomsbringer.

The RNG of the game is all over the place.

Yes and no. Every person you’re grouped with gives you a 33% chance of 1 extra piece of loot dropping. Capping out at a guaranteed 1 piece of extra loot when you have a full party.

Now this doesn’t mean within 200 runs you’ll get a mythic of course. Also depends on the bosses you’re fighting. Initiate Lair bosses have the worst chance, but it’s better than trying to farm mythics anywhere else. The drop rate goes up from there for each tier of lair boss.

That’s why there needs to be a ‘bad luck’ mechanic that sees the RNG is screwing the pooch and helps circumvent it. Even gacha games do this lol.

In all previous seasons I would get a mythic, legendary rune or unique tribute. This season on tor4 with 300 paragon pts and all bosses killed many times over not one of the aboves dropped. Six builds as well. Is there some setting I am missing? If I had one of the above I would say bad luck, but ZERO. Something is wrong, can anyone offer help?

Their metrics probably tell them they’re losing engagement with players after they get X amount of Mythics, etc.

And instead of asking “Do we have enough content for end game activities to keep players interested?” they say “Well the numbers don’t lie and we see a 30% drop in player retention after they get Mythics…so we need to obviously give the players less Mythics”.

It’s the kind of thinking Toddlers use and it’s completely reactionary with zero understanding of the grander concepts at play.

I agree that is their mindset. When I get a mthyic I want to work harder and play more to get better versions or stronger ones. Do these twits not see this? It is nature to get better since it makes you safer. Number one ruler in Nature, survival of the fittest.

They want you doing 1000+ to extend the season.

The partner spamming T4 with a level 2 rogue can help you with that.
