The game ran great in early access. sense the game launched ive gotten progressively worse stuttering in game. its an issue i see lots of people happening and there has been very little communication regarding this.
for a AAA game, it runs really bad… really really bad.

Yeah, I’ve experienced a similar problem. The stuttering was ridiculous until I uninstalled the 4k assets. You can do this via the Blizzard Client, go to “modify install”, use the gear next to the play button on d4. “modify install” again, then uncheck that box and hit accept. It is literally 40 GB of stuff that you don’t use unless you have a 4k monitor.
Other than that, turn down sharpen image and shadows.
I’m not sure why this is needed but wasn’t needed in the beta but… for now it’s helped me immensely.

What are your computer specs?
I haven’t had any issues, so curious what you’re running the game on.
Same over the past few days it has gotten progressively worse.
RTX 2070, i7-9700K, 32GB RAM
Like most problems with PC games these days the issues are the fault of catering to console peasants. Games used to run better on PC when they were created and optimized for PC gamers.

its not a bad framerate… just constant hitching/stuttering.
its also NOT my network… which is part of what blizzard keeps suggesting.
its not me. its your game.

It doesn’t. Your PC runs bad.

Listen dude, if you are being genuine and not just trying to troll I’d like to point out that not everyone should need a $3000 computer to play the game.
My system is pretty decent, fully up to date with drivers and such, etc— and the first couple of days of early access I had horrific stuttering which never happened on the betas.
This did not change until I made the adjustments I mentioned earlier in the thread.
There also appeared to be memory leak issues as restarting the game after an hour or two of play made a notable difference.
Nope, it’s not the PCs. I’m rocking a 7950x, 4090, 64gb DDR5@6000…and this game runs like trash in the open world. Dungeons are the only time it runs like it should. I turned off crossplay so I could leave the console peasants behind, and I log into the game and IT STILL SAYS I HAVE CROSSPLAY TURNED ON and I’ll see peeps from other realms, etc.
Feels like they just ported Diablo Immortal, gave it some graphics and hoped for the best.

Nah most people buy a new 5k plus computer each year to keep up with gaming.
Thanks for the tip. I don’t have a lot of issues, aside from the rubber banding, but I’ll give this a try since I don’t run 4k.
Not really, it’s a minority.
Specs shown are totally fine, computer is not bad at all.
