There is zero visual representation of jewelry on characters, and no way to change “how it looks” anyway, so this icon’s presence on jewelry leads me to 2 theories:
-
I’m missing something.
-
Blizzard missed something.
Again, it only shows up at the Jeweler where you can’t salvage anything anyway, so I feel like it’s #1, but also #2 isn’t reaching too terribly far either.
Sounds to me like it’s the “Can be upgraded” symbol, which is also present at the Blacksmith - though it only appears there when you’re in the correct submenu.
Interesting. It does appear that’s the case, and that this icon is a multi-use one. It sorta indicates you can do something with an item in whatever screen you’re in, but does not appear in all screens.
Doesn’t show up for sockets, adding them or removing gems.
Only shows up on salvageable items that will grant you a new cosmetic.
Shows up on all upgradable items, if you’re in the upgrade menu.
Doesn’t show up in repair window.
Doesn’t seem to show up at Occultist at all.
…I kinda don’t think using the same icon for “You should salvage this” and “You can upgrade this” is really a great move.
