At first, the map shows Fallen Temple (60). Then I port out to fix, port back: Level 70+. Then I go into the trial of the weak room: Level (60). Then I move toward Elias: Level 70+. Can you ppl make up your minds what level this is?
Then I get to t4 and all the mobs are lvl 75+.
Why?
Did you try to save $$ by hiring 10th graders to code this for you?
I wasn’t saying anything from not really knowing, but yeah, all those to say bliz doesn’t know what they’re doing? It’s crap like this that makes them say that and at this point, I agree. The coders have no clue wtf they’re doing if this is the way the game behaves after any patch.
I’ll still wait for you to fix it. But wow, pathetic game behavior.
The map levels lose relevance past WT1/2. Yeah it sucks but I mostly ignore them.
Also I agree on the massive jump in mob levels in the second capstone as well as WT4. Yes, objectively good builds can clear level 75 mob packs at levels 60 or below with relative ease. But for “normal” players that just throw something together and ride it as far as they can, it’s quite jarring to realize:
1). Leveling past ~60 in WT3 is incredibly slow, despite the capstone dungeon having level 70 mobs.
2). Finally getting to WT4 offers no relief since the lowest level mobs are level 75 everywhere.
If you’re a fan of non-scaling content then fine, but where are all the level 56-69 monsters? The only places to get level 56+ mobs in WT3 are NM dungeons and Helltides. But for some reason the xp gained from those dungeons seems terrifyingly low. Like you can almost do better just grinding out Whispers on level 55 open world mobs and level 55 dungeons.
All good points and I agree. xp in t3 is at least 50% lower than eternal from lvl 60-70 b4 this patch from hell. I guess 2 ppl enjoyed the snail’s pace, so they listened to them and ignored the majority.
The odd thing is that once you hit wt4, if you manage to clear mobs even in open world, the xp is really nice. Like it really seems more than twice as fast. All I have to do is run whispers in wt4 at a fairly relaxed pace and it’s so much better than anything in wt3 past 60.
It’s a rough ride. I personally don’t think many players are ready for WT4 until level 70 or so given how brutal the armor curve is when facing higher-level enemies. My poor minion necro got one-shot by a lot of elite powers like mortar when he first hit WT4, and he still has to step lively to avoid a swift demise now that he’s 65.
Fortunately the undead crew is making short work of most open world enemies, so advancement is still possible. It would suck more going into WT4 with a tanky build only to get worn down due to massive level differentials and poor damage output.
