Minion key passive = minions do more damage
Blood key passive= blood skills deal more damage
Bone key passive=bone skills deal more damage
Shadow/curse key passives=here’s a small instance of negligible damage.
I live and breathe DoT builds. Blizzard, PLEASE let my DoT builds be just as OP as other builds. I had fun with bleed barb before it was nerfed into obscurity. Fire DoT sorc never really had a chance to shine and was more about being tanky. Even poison rogue seems to have fallen off in comparison. What’s the deal?
Now if you want to play a good DoT build you need to play Spiritborn.
The solution is so obvious and easy. Buff Blighted aspect back to 120%, but make it only work with shadow DoT damage.

In the current damage era, I’m not even sure that’s enough. There needs to be a lot of changes for dot builds to come back and be relevant. Honestly, probably a full rework of necro shadow/dot would need to happen.

This is would be good.
But turn all shadow DoT fully dependent from blighted aspect.
Maybes a good “fix” (if we can said this) would rework wither to does more damage (at least 2400 intelligente to maximum bonus) with more frequence (5% is VERY VERY LOW to a build non critical-based). And its needs works to all shadow damage and not only DoT shadow.
Shadowblight needs rework too. Its should be only a amplifyer to shadow damage like “targets affected by shadow damage receives 30% [ x ] more shadow damage and causes 15% [ x ] less damage” or something like that.
That’s an interesting idea for shadowblight.
I kind of like the idea of it being a shadow damage amplifier instead of it’s own damage source. I also like the idea of it giving increased damage reduction, which never hurts.
It should definitely have some ability to scale its bonus based on damage bonuses. Maybe 0.5%x for each point of bonus damage ( any type ). So one could realistically make relevant shadow damage bonuses off of it in the 500x range.
Numbers like that would be needed in order to have dot damage do damage fast enough to kill mobs before they kill you.

Unballance beetween classes and builds is the major problem of this game, since release.
Honestly, it will never be solved, since Blizzard decided to implement too much multiplicative damage affixes that turn a nightmare to balance.
Every patch will buff/nerf some of theses affixes to balance specific skill, but will also totally kill some builds which is sad.
PoE, which has way more build diversity, do a much better work, even though has its own problems too.
Maybe shadow DoT could stack or Shadowblight could make dots deal their damage through less time.
One big problem is, that Shadowblight needs a shadow dot damage to get big. I got to 1300 % bonus this season, but still 44 % of weapon damage is not enough against all these overpower builds.
On the other hands minions do not do dot damage.
So you have either no minion damage (stacking dot damage) or no necromancer damage (stacking crit damage).
The stacking of crit damage is the next thing that is bad balancing in this game.

I’ve been playing the Infinimist/CE build all season so I feel you.
The Wither cap needs to go. I don’t understand why that needed to happen in the first place.
There are many routes that could be taken to help us out, but single target damage needs the most work. The Frailty legendary node, for example, could continue to amplify damage endlessly.
Currently at Pit ~ 75 and P230, my gear is decent, and I enjoy the “challenge” up until the boss fight. The same goes with Infernal Hordes - I can do ok in T4 up until the fell council, where it takes at least 3-4 minutes to Wither them down.
