The Disconnect save from the Scroll of Escape should be part of the game.
But since we do NEED the Scrolls of Escape…

I do not need to change my opinion to satisfy you.
I have been playing all season without using a Scroll so far.
Sure doesn’t feel more Hardcore to me, as I only want it for disconnects.
And if you think using one isn’t HC enough, just choose to not use it big dawg.
What I choose to do shouldn’t effect you one bit.
Try to see my point, and relax on trying to force people into the ideals you have inherited from your hero.

In general, the idea of scrolls as a salvation from a disconnection is strange. That is, if you crashed/got a DC, Blizzard sees that you crashed, but the character does not go offline unless the scroll sends you to the city, this is stupid. I lost two characters from disconnection this season (coz till paragon 240 i got 0 scrolls) and my teammate unsuccessfully tried to protect me for a couple of minutes, until the packs of spawning mobs and meteorites on helltide did not finish me off, while I was trying to enter the game and each time getting a message that the character save progress was not completed … and it was completed as soon as the character died in the game.
It’s so stupid, the system sees that you get a DC, but does not throw the character out of the game, without a scroll.

100% this, they need to build an anti-death system around DC/Crashes. The scroll of escape was nice when it was actually obtainable at a reasonable rate.

That’s the one thing I will never understand. They can program the game that way, that scrolls do save us from Crashes/Disconnects…but they can’t code any algorithm to protect us any time, whether we have scrolls or not? This is beyond any common sense.

These scrolls are so rare I decided to level a second character as a throwaway for the dark citadel achievement.
Losing the character would hurt less than the scroll with this droprate.
We have a theory about scrolls. Everyone I’ve asked has found them in Helltides, Nightmare dungeons or during tree whisper activities. So it seems only to drop from enemies, that can drop stuff by themselves (but not from Bosses). In almost all activities we do permanently (like Pits, Hordes, Undercity), enemies doesn’t drop anything. the reward comes from chests at the end. And those don’t seem to drop scrolls. This (not confirmed ofc) combined with a much much lower drop rate of scrolls leads to the fact, that we almost find none of them. One I’ve asked, who found 10 already almost only does NMDs and Helltides and very rarely the other stuff.

Rip i just lost the throwaway character because one guy picked up a shard in the Gorschak boss room and didnt stand in the middle to put it in.
If only there was an item to teleport out of the fight smh.
Combining an achievement with a co-op only dungeon plus Hardcore and a lack of scrolls is a terrible combo.
You know sometimes i wish we could force the developers to playtest their own game and let them enjoy this sadistic mess they created.
Without scrolls we are at the mercy of lag and unstable internet connections.

No Scrolls of Escape has gotten even worse.
People beware of the new game crashing bugs from the patch today.
Lots of people crashing in the Pit and other activities.
Devs looking into it.

Do NOT run the new patch if you are on HC … my game crashed on first mob I found and of course my char is dead after relogin.

Let’s check how things are going.
- They didn’t do any change on the drop rate
- They didn’t give us ANY feedback, not even a fu**ng post letting us know they aren’t going to do shhit about it
- Now they rolled out this incredible patch that makes everyone crash even more than before
My theory is there is a bet on the table on how many players they can force quit from hc.
