I played through the mini questline, and I still don’t get it. Why do we kill the townspeople in slaughterhouses? What’s the lore behind it? I understand that it’s quite fun to play as the butcher but I find it very weird that we attack Ked Bardu, Zarbinzet etc.
I guess thats an easteregg to kill all those human shaped pixels that we heared so much in the game…

It’s sort of a reverse D3 easter egg where one of the Visions of Enmity is you killing monsters inside of New Tristram. I guess they took that idea, reversed it to monsters killing humans and expanded it to the major town hubs in D4.
