I am just wondering what is the reason people level up to 100lv? Nothing is brought to new season. What is the purpose of leveling up characters to 100lv, except killing time?
There isn’t one. Do it if you want to lol.
Only people I know are still playing just to test stuff, or are just bored with nothing better to do. None of them even trying to hit 100.
Like he said, if you enjoy the combat and brainless grind then do it, otherwise you shouldn’t bother.
I like to kill stuff over and over and drop awesome loot to build OP character so I can kill even faster.
Levels are just side effects.
Ever heard of having fun? That is what games are for, nothing else. If you are looking for a purpose, not sure why you look for it in Diablo or any other game.
There isn’t a good reason right now. It’s mainly only for testing potential builds but those will be changed in the preseason patch anyways. Find the class you like or keep playing non seasonal of you want to keep this as your main character.
You seem new to the idea of ladder and seasons. Your current character is non season. You will keep this character when season launches. Seasonal characters go to their own server. It’s a way to reset progression, economy, etc. It’s a healthy way to test meta and drive an equal and fun grind.
Just because all you think there is to the game is Seasons, doesn’t mean that is all there is to the game.
It is just as viable to play on the Eternal Realm.
no real reason other than to make builds based on a fully unlocked character. This would also give you an idea on how to build your season character as many don’t like to watch guides and test things out themselves. Personally I’m not rushing to 100 as i have zero competitive drive in me and don’t mind watching guides
Why would you level a character to 100 in Season 1 if there is going to be a Season 2?
You see where i am going with this?
LoL! My thoughts exactly. Seasons seem totally pointless.
if you think whole game after killing Lilith is pointless lol xDDD
In that case, seasons only last a few months and after that your character becomes normal and you can’t use him on onother season. So in a sense, you’ll always be leveling up characters in each season. The only progress that remains in this game is your normal characters progression. You see the loop? So I suggest you get used to grinding.
The point is fun. If you arent having fun, wtf you doing here? Go away
My main goal when the game started was to complete the campaign. This will help when the season starts since it will allow me to skip the campaign and immediately go into seasonal content. If you haven’t finished the campaign (account wide), you’ll have to complete it on a season character before you can start the seasonal content.
I parked my 75 rogue last week and fired up a necromancer. No reason to damage your soul with the grind to 100 right now. I want to learn about the classes (aspects etc) before season 1.
Because there are adequate People among us that gona play only eternal open world, People that have life and families that are not crazy to level up a character to level 100 for 3 months and than loose all gear and character…
Actually anything past L70-80 is a mindless grind with no explicit goal.
If you are really into it, maybe do Uber Lilith, or push high tiers Nightmare dungeons. Or PVP.
There isn’t unless you play professionally or don’t plan to play seasons. Can you imagine doing this all again in a month?
Maybe you won’t even find yourself participating in Seasons and rather just focus on Off-Season with your already level 100 character.
Wait… we lose our actual character levels at the start of the Season? Everyone goes back to 1?!
Not actual season rank?
You have to start a completely new character each season.
