Why do blizz always make content too easy?

This exactly what I say. If you copy meta builds then complain about the game being too easy then you are a hypocrite. Stop copying the one or two broken builds in the game then get back with me.

A goodwill assumption, I’m sure. However, proof’s in the pudding. The sales numbers of the expansion will definitively prove how big or small the true D4 2.0 audience is. For example, I bought the base game but I won’t be buying the expansion. Am I the minority or the majority? No one knows yet.

RoS managed to sell “only” 3 million copies at the time compared to the 30 million (if I recall correctly) of the base game. Hence, no more expansions were released.

Blizzard might have learned that lesson at least. They were way too fast to abandon D3 after RoS. Even if VoH sells badly, they will probably give it some time to turn around.

I am in the same boat with not buying the expansion. If the game remains at this level of “challenge” it just seems like I will not really be interested in playing it too much more. Right now I still need to play Druid to 100 on a season so there is something “newish” for me still.

There is nothing wrong with catering to your largest audience. But if I am not in that group, there is likely a better fit elsewhere. A lot of good games coming out.

And it is not like I can’t buy it when it is on sale later.

Hamster.

You were either thinking Hamper or Dumpster in the back of your mind.
Also sorry I actively try not to do that.

I would wager the majority of people playing don’t beat all the content. They may get to a point that they are happy with but in almost all games, beating all the content is usually reserved for a single digit percentage of the player base.

I just play games until I’m bored of them. if there’s somethin to work towards and it’s engaging, then Ill keep playing. if not, there’s hundreds of other games out there that I can spend time in. To each their own.

Its a Canadian thing, eh  now go eat your patatos

Absolutely. In fact, they need to cater to a specific audience and avoid the fallacy of trying to please everyone.

Personally, I lean towards the assumption they are targeting the minority. I understand it may sound absurd but my speculation is they initially tried to appease the average (Diablo) gamer with launch D4, but due to the backlash they quickly regressed and ran back to the formula they already knew very well with D3, which had a rather small but well established audience.

I don’t have any strong feelings on this tbh, it’s just speculation on my part. It may all be wrong in the end of the day  or not :eyes::joy:

Not Canadian, so no. :hamster:

Challenge in D4, is that actually a thing? There is no challenge here, is just a pure grind fest, that doesn’t make the game challenging, just makes it boring past day 2. I would like to read, one thing that make this game challenging.

You’re very right. I’ve always followed a build but this time around I’m gonna go for my own build and see how far it takes me. Withvthe new loot system and crafting I think this will be extra fun.

They released an incomplete and unfinished game

What to expect ?, that people will get satisfied with a game tailored to work for 75/100 levels ?

What then ?, then they decided for us to “telenovella” the last 25 (i.e. last 125 in this case), because of… ?, yeah

It’s a mess that they themselves created by releasing an incomplete game

The word “challenging” is always relative to how someone interprets the word.

However, I view it as being able to navigate, adapt and overcome monster attacks and mechanics through skill expression, character growth, experience, and knowledge,.

If you buff skills or gear too much or provide gear/crafting mats too quickly, or scale back monsters too much then you remove opportunity for the player to adapt and overcome. And you don’t have the satisfaction that your skill expression, character growth, experience and knowledge mattered.

It doesn’t have to be complex like a souls game. Using a very simple example…‘see that zombie charger over there charging up? It’s gonna take 3/4 of your health if you don’t move. What are you going to do?

The relative part of “challenge” come into play here

Me personally, I’m moving out of the way so I don’t have to start my character over. Others will complain it’s simply “over-tuned”, nerf it (they did). Others will say give us screen clearing abilities so I don’t have to worry about it (they did).

It’s not that zombie charger is a big deal, it’s that you start adding up example after example and for some you lead to a place of:

Me included.

I don’t know but you are kidding yourself if you think the game doesn’t frustrate you what with the whole

sure looks like you are getting frustrated and losing it because you can’t get what you want out of the game, so lets play less but I’m not frustrated really

you can’t take people that play all day as a work and make it as it’s the majority; ofc it’s gonna be too easy for uneployed people that play 8/10 hours a day, what you expect?

If i dont play at all or i play a whole day. The outcome is the same. Only for option 2 my day is wasted. Ofc i also play for fun, but if this bad joke continues for months then it destroys my mood.
1 i play something else or i go to the gym for a few hours. = no shako’s.
2 i play a whole day diablo 4 and do helltides, killing grigoire 20 times, kill varshan 20 times. Doing whispers a whole days. Kill duriel till i am out of mats. Same outcome = zero shako’s (+ mostly busy clearing bags)
3 going on social media and seeing some losers showing their shako’s they got within 1 / 20 runs. * this rng. This is the frustration part, if someone said they have killed duriel for 100+ times i am fine with that.

Just love the way you are doing it right and everyone else is doing it wrong and don’t know how to play

as long as people are having fun who cares how they play except maybe you because you are doing it right because you said so

heaven forbid players play there own way with their own characters

But I could of sworn you said

must be reading things

English is not my main language. I can typ it in Dutch if you want. And if the mods are oke with that.
Maybe i sometimes describe it not good or using the wrong words.

Btw i was thinking about games overall. Its pure bad luck.

In wow i never got invincibles reins, nalak mount, mimirons head, ruhkmar mount. And more wich i cant remember. I left wow because someone showed off all mounts i wanted and he got them one by one in a row.

Hearthstone is no fun cus only mages and deathknights with OP cards. + bad rng from packs. And rigged matchmaking.

Guildwars 2 never gave me anything nice to sell for huge gold. That game only wants my money.

Call of duty is full of camper players and unfair matchmaking (i play controller)

Battlefield 2042 unfair matchmaking and lack of guns (but i must play portal cus that can be fun still)

Now i found diablo 4 and liked it. Till i joined a facebook group and so show off.
I wish someone could just mail me something nice that can improve my mood. But i dont think they care about ppl’s mental health.

As if the world has not enough unfairness. It continues virtual. So i better spend my time offline. Sports or something else.

The answer to your question is yes.

The majority of gamers these days aren’t looking for a real challenge.
Gamers have changed.
