Why did you turn the item hunt

into a charity free for all? What happened to “chase items”? Why were content creators getting an inventory of uniques in such a short period of time???

I don’t know about you, but the Devs idea of us only getting 3 uniques in a season is garbage, and I hope it’s not the case. Especially considering we can’t trade up for what we need.

It’s understood that streamers no-lifed the game for 10 days straight, right?
There’s also RNGeesus from every angle.

Let’s all breath… we’ll get through this! :man_facepalming:

So you’re just going to ignore that there’s another entire tier list called legendary’s which essentially do the same thing? But the issue is that you can’t stand the fact that there’s something that may take more than 3 hours to find that’s what it comes down to.

Dude. The Devs are quoted saying you’ll only find 3 uniques in a season. Who said anything about something taking 3 hours to find? And if uniques and legendaries are the same, why are they in different categories? Maybe cause they’re not the same?

So there is a chance I will find my +4 Shako before I get to old! :beers:

  1. Having item of certain rarity doesn’t mean it is useful
  2. Given itemization one in dozens will be upgrade and that ofc lowers as you progress further
  3. This is, luckily, not a freemium game where you grind till your eyes bleed for minor upgrade, for that consider Lost ark

If you are looking for affirmation in grinding game for hours to get something out of it, then you should probably focus on underlying life issues first.

They’re basically the same except that uniques just have fixed affixes so they’re slightly more tailor made and that the idea was supposed to be that they’re the “chase items” that a certain segment of the ARPG population appeals to because this is a loot hunting type of game. In my opinion, legendary’s already provide what the more “casual” gamer (1-3 hours per night) would be happy with, they augment skills and do a “fun thing”.

Exactly this. It is still going to take hundreds of hours, I am glad it wont take thousands, there is simply no need for it, that’s free mobile game kind of stupidity some people want.

Honestly, when D2R first came out, I found 2 Ber’s in one day in that first month. It’s not impossible to find rare items it was just that D2 had horrendous gap times for finding upgrades.

Wow, very exciting, I can’t imagine the amount of fun, did it feel like life achievement you are looking for? “Hard” “work” paying out?

It’s the loothunt that drives me in Diablo games, as long as there is something I need/want for my build I’ll keep playing! :beers:

And that’s a good part of the reason they are so sought after. You’re not farming 287 useless legendaries to get a half decent roll. I just hope the 3 uniques a season is their estimation for what a very casual level of player will find.

Since they will be pouring new items on us every 3 months that will again and again expend loot pools… I am sure there will be… there will be for very, very long time.

Rares and legendary’s can roll really good affixes though. Uniques might have some slightly “unusual” or “unique” affixes but the point is that rares and legendary’s fill up that “gap time” that D2 did not do so well which turned a lot of people off to its item hunt.

Btw, DI adds like 64 legendaries every few months

Yeah, but you could trade in D2. There’s your offset for long gap times. You could build wealth and in turn get what you needed in a shorter amount of time.

DI, now that is something I will never play again. But if D4 will do the same it’s cool. :beers:

I thought if you constantly needed instant gratification and to questions others peoples life choices that don’t affect you then those people should look at underlying life issues?

I work hard and play hard. Just because I understand the need for longevity in the item hunt doesn’t mean I dedicate 8 hours a day to a game but I understand the appeal in chasing something you want and differing gratification - something people like you might not understand.
