T4 bosses and also T4+ Pits.
I don’t get it…
What is the purpose of this? To annoy players? To make their experience as miserable as possible? How is that a viable strategy to attract more users/players to the game?
Luckily there are 3 other Torment levels for those that don’t want to progress further into the game. If you truly do want to progress into T4 content, there are steps to be taken with your gear/character to do so.
Maybe to make something challenging for people who do not want to complete the season in the first 3 days.
I’d agree with you if completing the Seasonal Journey didn’t require T4. Even the most casual of players should be able to complete the seasonal journey.
If they’re going to make T4 hard enough that casual players can’t survive there, all aspects of the game need to be achievable for casual players without going there.
You want a challenge? Play Hardcore, play without gear, play with a low tier build.
They compromised the journey already for average players. The only things from the final chapter are a profile skin and titles which used to also contain a pet but now its fully acquirable via T3.
If the casuals would like said profile skin and titles, they got all season to work towards it.
I’ve accepted that I’m not going to complete the seasonal journey this season, and certainly having most of the stuff after chapter 6 make it less bad.
But it’s still a bad thing (albeit a bit less bad) that a casual player can’t complete the seasonal journey.
But that would take some time and effort. We can’t have that.
T1 and T2 are useless, T3 is a mixed bag with more bad than good in it. This game should not be excluding the casual and/or semi-casual players.
My main gripe with this season is how unrewarding it is to play T4. Drops are not improved in the slightest over T3. Now that’s not really an issue with anything other than the lair bosses because it’s all just as easy, T3 or T4, except the lair bosses. The only thing worth doing in T4 are nightmare dungeons, hordes and Undercity because of the bigger obducite drops. The bosses however, why would I waste my time in T4 doing drawn out fights, dying with a single misstep, when I can do them a dozen times in the same time in T3 for the same underwhelming rewards?
Actually, my only mythic drop has come from T2 and most of my legendary runes from T3 and upgrading rares. It’s not the difficulty that’s my issue, it’s the poor rewards.
If people want something easy they can play D3 and one shot everything on T16 within the first few days.
Indeed, & as a bonus, D3 is actually fun.

They can… however, they may have to use a broken/meta build to accomplish it. The last chapter is for anyone, not any skill.
Well that’s not going to be true this season… and probably not next season… i’d be surprised if this isn’t one of those things they stick to their guns on, like dark citadel and bad class/build balance.
They want to cater to the tryhards and “me too” to PoE 2’s increased difficulty.

Beat me to it. This is why Ill always hate D3. It fostered a playerbase that thinks uber easy one week seasons should be the norm in arpgs.
Options
- Players can work on getting better we have 3+/- month seasons for a reason.
- If things are too difficult for some people they can always ask for help.
- Water everything down to make it easy for people who do not want to put any effort into it.
Let me try again, not everyone wants to one shot everything on the highest difficulty like in D3.
Instead of making a decision and sticking with it Blizzard has messed things up with its flip-flopping.
If appears they are not sure what they want Diablo 4 to be because of catering to the Squeaky wheel.

Guess what - still completed the season in about 3 days - now I’m board because no loot to improve my character - no mythics dropping - few GAs - no runes - pit is slower (not harder - but just slower - so it a drag to level up glyphs) - bosses are a pain in the butt!
Blizz has complexly failed with s8 - the worst yet by a Country mile.
