Whats the point of another account bound items, no economy, self crafted legendarys, 4 party limit, diablo game? Is this some kind of mistake? We have diablo 3 for the solo farm all your own gear type player base. So you guys decide to make another one. Big brains here at blizz. You can’t even drop items on the ground for other people to pick up lol. It’s exactly the same as diablo 3 with all the important nuances. I really don’t see this game doing too well unless it adheres to the communities wishes of a more diablo 2 like game. Give the people what they want. No body wanted a diablo 3/lost ark rebrand.
Be careful using the term ‘no body’
Personally, I am very happy with the game so far and “if” they can add some more dungeon variety and fix up a few issues here and there, the games look great from my perspective.
Not sure they have settled on the final trading restrictions yet but you are able to trade some resources and rare items - perfectly rolled rare items being highly desirable as a bases legendary affixes. Assuming you don’t have Unique items in every slot, those rare items will be very very valuable.
The ability to trade isn’t as clear cut as you make it sound - not everyone wants open trading.
Disagree. Your assumptions are wrong to begin with.
I hated D3 (beat it on normal difficulty immediately after launch; never played it again) and loved the original Diablo and D2, but so far playing D4 I am getting mostly good vibes.
The “ultimate” idea reminds me of Wolcen (which I actually kind of liked as well–unfortunately it was a buggy nightmare) and PoE (Vaal Skills). I am not sure how I feel about it in Diablo just yet.
The “economy” metagame has no business in Diablo and I’m glad they left it out… Look at every game that has trading–they are bot-run nightmares and massive soul-sucking time-sinks. If you want economy game, go play with stonks. I used to play PoE many years ago, and when I returned to it years later, I found it infested with Trade Bots and RMT bots spamming everywhere. So disappointing.
Party limit doesn’t matter to me as I’ve mostly always played Diablo1 and Diablo2 (and every aRPG) solo. Dropping items for other players can kinda make the game feel pointless for that player. My friend did this to me on Grim Dawn, and, unwittingly, I completely lost interest in playing the game a few days later.
So copy and paste a previous failed version is what you wanted? Because that’s what you got lol. Game should have been released with a fully integrated RM auction house. So sick of the loudmouth casuals complaining about 3rd party sites and auction house gameplay. They literally carved up diablo 3 to give them a little “craft your own BiS” hack and slash. Now you want them to adopt this as a franchise game model? I find it repulsive, as do all long time diablo players.
what I hate in D4 is the dungeon design… pickup key and kill xxx mobs to open door… you have to walk though all the dungeon…
I would agree with that, its a lame mechanic that is being used far too broadly. No issues with the mechanic but it should be used very sparingly.
To say “there will be bots” as an excuse to not have a real game economy is so far beyond stupid. Who cares about bots? Do they affect your gameplay in anyway whatsoever? If you don’t want to trade cool, you don’t have too. No body is going to play another stupid account bound, craft your own legendary crap shoot. It’s dead on arrival
You mean like all the people and content creators that play ssf on PoE?
frankly find it funny they are trying so hard to force this down the gaming communities throats. It didn’t work with d3. It won’t work with d4.
Some are having issues with solo boss mechanics.
I don’t think making d4 support over 4 mans would help.
10 man raid bosses in another blizzard game are not simply hp sponges to be loot pinata’s. mechanic are in place to make it work. beyond smack em silly an extra minute or so. And its beyong putting more fire on the ground for bad dps to stand in.
tank messed up stack count of something…and dead. wipe is coming. that kind of thing.
It’s just the opposite. Nobody wants a game filled with people spamming “10 sojs for ur (xyz)” for 5 hours straight, and bots spamming in local chat and trade chat. there are other economy simulators out there you can play - Diablo is not and shouldn’t be one.
Any game with a crafting system designed around top tier, self crafted, account bound items will never work. It’s simply not what the community is looking for in a game. End of story
well clearly the community you represent is so far small compared to the community against you, is pretty clear isn’t it ??? D4 will be extremely popular among both POE and Diablo players. At lvl 25 only the fun was amazing !!! you can go play Lost Ark with trading. See how that pans out for ya. EVEN better LOst Ark is free to play.
No this is just you and all you, others want different things.
This is that casual beta mindset that got us here in the first place. The face that you don’t want an economy because X, Y, or Z reason doesn’t mean the game will be better off without one. Just look at the failures of diablo3 and how fast it crashed and burned after the auction house was removed. The whole notion of account wealth is what gives mmo’s replayability. If you can’t trade and there’s no economy the game will die. Don’t gotta take my word for it, just look at diablo 3 lol.
Your account can still be wealthy without there being trading. Replayability comes from unlocking new things, progressing your chars, obtaining new items that enable new playstyles and experiences, etc.
And it’s no surprise if D3 playerbase declined after removing AH, you probably had a million people playing as an alternative to getting a job. Good thing that is all in the past. We have evolved
lol imagine thinking removing the auction house didn’t kill diablo 3.
Brother you can drop item for another people just inv them to party and wait few seconds. Also make sure its not the same random or legendary in their inventory as the game doesn’t allow you to stack those and wont display when dropped and It wont be allowed to be trade.
The Auction House was one of the main reasons I left the game - it was horrible.
What are you on about!?
and which youtuber goofball did you get this dunce-take from? because clearly you didnt actually play the game.
