Why Diablo needs Turn Based Combat

So, fellow Diablo die-hards, it’s time to admit that the real-time combat system is so last decade.

No Just No, even the final fantasy 7 remake went to real time combat, if you want to play a turn based game go play mtg or something but turn based rpgs are just pure idiotic.

The original take on Diablo 1 was turnbased combat before someone revolutionized it by changing to real time.

Well, you know what they say, history has a way of repeating itself! Maybe it’s time for Diablo 4 to go full circle and bring back turn-based combat for the ultimate nostalgia trip. We can all reminisce about the good old days when we had time to plan our moves between sips of potion. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Actrually here me out guys. This could work. As a seperate game entirely set within Diablo Sanctuary. Like those auto battler on mobile.

Diablo 1 was originally turned based until Blizzard asked to make it real time.

Why not allow this game to be turn-based, preference choice would be a nice addition to the gameplay experience.

You can just play Solasta or Pathfinder or Divinity Original Sin 2 or Bladur’s Gate 3 when it comes out. All turn based RPGs.

p.s. Those guys would all love your support too. D4 is not a turn based game anymore than it is a science fiction setting on the planet Mars.

Balders Gate 3 exists. If turn based combat is what you want, that is where it is at. Diablo is, and always must be an ARPG. In fact it is the ONLY ARPG. The only one to get it right. BG3 for turn based, and Diablo for ARPG. It is rare to get ONE good game in a year, 2023 is getting 2. Be thankful.

You can still wait for things to attack you before you attack them. But it is an online game with other players don’t think you could ever pause.
