every time i post something that is expressing a negative view i get “flagged”. i avoid using bad words, but i do disagree with most of the game designs.
when you censor someone who disagrees your ignoring a part of the fanbase as i know many who share the same viewpoints i have.
you wont make a better game if you surround yourself with “yes” men who never speak against a bad idea and push the company away from its fans / customers and ensue the negativity towards the company, and the products it produces
forums used to be a great way to express feedback to let the dev’s / producers / game designers what is not “fitting” in with the current build of the game/product…
with this “censorship” its border line infringing on constitutional rights…
I don’t like the automated moderation myself, and I think false flagging should have it’s own penalties. If someone is not breaking the very easy to follow COC, they should be allowed to post their POV.
But that said that is really not high on their priority list especially with MS making cuts, automated system may be the only way they can have some control here.
Hmm… I’m mainly curious about the FTC thread that was deleted in the last couple minutes. Was it resolved? Last post I remember was OP replying to a green post, with the names of 9 “GM’s” OP spoke to about a refund. The green post had asked if the refund request had gotten automated replies, or replies from a human.
I haven’t seen any of your posts that have been, I’m assuming, removed. So I can’t say one way or the other why they were removed. If they were civil posts, didn’t call out the developers for being ‘dumb’ and asked for them to be fired, your posts technically should’ve been fine. However without actually seeing what you typed, can’t say for certain.
During the launch delay a thread of mine called “The VOH launch is not tainted at all” got deleted. Probably because I listed some negative points and a moderator thought it could be a bad look on the forums if the thread gets traction. In the second post in this thread I was insulted with “We got an idiot y’all”.
I mean… on this general topic… Blizzard is the company that has (had?) a WoW pet named Willy, and it had 1 eye. (That eye shot a laser at critters, when Willie wasn’t sleeping.)
its normal to like bigger over smaller. and my complaint was the fact that a AAA game didnt add a character custom screen to let us set preferences.
no foul language, no perverse words. but a unwanted view towards the current model’s physic and a desire to let us choose how our “fantasy hero” should look
Yeah I added another line in my response as there are some outlier cases where you did nothing wrong, but they decide the thread topic is just inciting people.
Maybe in D5 you’ll see sliders for your character. D4 wasn’t built with that in mind though, so you’ll never see it here. Now from an aesthetic point of view it makes sense. You don’t see well endowed gymnasts for a reason. There’s quite literally very little body fat on them.
