I saw online that I should be able to pre load the game before the release tomorrow but when i tried to start downloading the game today it keeps telling me “This game cant be installed yet.”
How do i fix this and start pre loading?
Did you preorder the deluxe or ultimate edition on that specific battle net account? I am not sure if standard editions can or not yet. I don’t see why they wouldn’t be able to but I am not sure if they can or not.
Yes, Standard can download it too. Any version of Diablo 4 can download.
If the launcher is not showing it available yet, the easiest thing to try is rebooting the PC. Not actually kidding. It shuts down all the processes associated with Bnet and lets it start up again to pick up updates.

Close and exit Battle.net
Re-open it, and it should work.
If not, restart your entire computer, and try again.
It is. My ex decided to go with just Standard, and she’s already preloaded and pre-installed.
It is just the launcher not refreshing its data. I don’t know what triggers that, or what sort of timing it is on. I just know it sometimes needs a kick.
The software equivalent of “percussive maintenance”.

I have the Standard Edition and downloaded the game yesterday (Wednesday).
I tried all the above before giving up last night.
I woke up this morning and I could start downloading.
Let’s hope for a smooth launch today.
