Why are Treasure Goblins so lame here?

Like much of the game, the goblins seem half tested and uninteresting.

  1. No variants or rare species (Gelatinous or rainbow)

  2. No laughter

  3. No bandit shrines. Just delete the greed shrine and add this.

The butcher provides more dopamine than any treasure goblin I’ve encountered yet. The ones in D3 were fantastic.

Should treasure goblins even be in the game?

It doesn’t really fit the Diablo vibe imo. Feels more like a wow or warcraft vibe they added to D3 and decided to keep for D4.

at least now they drop loot. before they didnt drop anything!

I also saw 2 goblins very close to each other so they seem to be adding more and maybe working on them.

They make perfect sense if you follow the diablo lore.

Loot goblins are as fun as the in game loot. Since d4 itemization sucks, so too does the goblin.

yeah I agree, was thinking the same actually. Theres too much fun stuff here already, it is supposed to be a dark game eh.

We could remove colors all together too. This way with black and white it would bring the darkness more up and make it feel like those 50’s horror movies. BRING DARKNESS BACK!" :smiley:

Forgot no treasure Low levels he drops nothing period. At high levels he drop 1 garbage legendary if you are lucky.

Diablo 2 is godlike but cmon now. Goblins are not the problem. problem is that they dont have itemization similar to Diablo 2.

Its so effing boring to loot items in Diablo 4…

Because so much of this game is built with the overly serious, no time for fun sensibilities of diablo 2. Because serious means it’s cool and for big boys. Which means no fun or levity for you. Treasure goblins are now serious business only. They have mortgages and chronic back pain.

Yes Loot Goblin is missing that laughter.
And perhaps add in a butcher spawn after it dies as a surprise.
