Maybe I’m missing something, but for example, I have a few wind striker mobility aspects that gives a movement speed bonus of [8-16%] for 6 seconds when I crit. However, they all look exactly alike on possible rolls, though some are declared “sacred” or “ancestral”, and some even have different colored wings on their icons despite them all doing the exact same thing. The only thing that’s remotely different on any of them is the item level, but what’s the point if they all do [8-16%]? More importantly, why are sacred\ances more expensive to extract if they are literally all the same thing?
Honestly I don’t know. They are distinguished in the aspect menu by sacred ancest and normal, but it makes absolutely no difference… seemingly anyways.
At one point you could only use a sacred aspect for a sacred item and so forth, its leftover from that system.
The aspect power is the same for all levels of rarity, the only difference is which slot you attach it to. Weapons/amulet slots increase the effect.
Some are static xx-yy% range. Otherwise they’d be too strong.
Some scale.
Is what it is.
This is interesting.
I extracted this lendary power for science from a 2h Ancestral wepaon that I found.
I thought it was weird the power did not go down on the aspect from the weapon. I imprinted the power onto a totem. (wasn’t going to use my actual gloves afterall)
The totem, retained the 100% boost to the power.
Are Ancestral powers actually broken? Do they always retain the 100%? I need more testing
its just re-grind mechanic …
they are not better or anything … its just higher level locked behind difficulty …
if you every played like D2 or D3 … you have Normal - Nightmare - Hell
now imagine playing on normal, you get normal legendary items …
now playing on nightmare, you get the SAME legendary items, only its name is different, now its NIGHTMARE LEGENDARY ITEM
same goes for hell …
they are not special, stronger, anything …
its just bad game mechanic that will force you refarm items you have already farmed …
if you have some legendary power, aspect, from NORMAL with maximum roll … you cannot use it on sacred or ancestral … for that, you need to farm it again, find that same power on sacred item to be able to use it on another sacred item …
normal to normal
sacred to sacred
ancestral to ancestral
thats when codex kinda comes in … its the same aspects, but not all of them and they have MINIMUM rolls …
power on item can have 10-50% range?
aspect from codex will always be 10% … always the lowest
its to kinda help you get stronger but you still have to grind, farm the same item you have already farmed, grinded, found … now its useless
I’ve since learned that this is a bug with a handful of specific legendaries, and it allows you to level up characters really easily.
I wonder what happens if you pull them out at +100% then put them into another slot with a +100% modifier. o-O
