Why are the gear drops no better in a pit 30 and doing a pit 90?

farming gear in lvl 30 to 100 pit,I don’t see a change in the lvl of gear that drops or the stones, what the hell is up with that?

It’s not where you go for your gear, it’s where you go for your masterworking materials to increase your gear.

The soft cap for pits is level 61. If you can do that you can upgrade your gear to 12/12.
Anything above that is purely for farming efficiency.

They specifically do NOT drop better or more gear in the Pits, because that’s not the point of it.

If you want to farm gear, run NMDs or Helltide. That’s where you get most of the materials to enchant, temper, apply aspects, and socket your gear anyway - by design.

Think of pit literally as a pre-requisite to masterworking, and nothing more.

Your best source of gear is also the least demanding (i.e. boring) content: Farming helltides. The games’ only challenge is how long you can be bothered.

Because instead of using a progression system where better gear drops from tougher content, they decided to go with a weird system of pretty much anything can drop from pretty much anything and it’s all just rng luck.

You dont farm pit for gear, you farm pit for mw materials. Farm HT maiden if you’re looking for gear.

There shouldn’t be anymore progression on gear pass 925 item power. Even Greater Affix is a mistake.

I dunno, pit 101s and obols is damn good at getting gear because you directionally roll obols.

That is true but maiden is still the best place to farm for gear.

101s in say 3 minutes ( 2 minutes each and extra minute for other stuff). Every 12 minutes you have full only legendary inventory.

Afrer 10 runs you are at max obols and that nets you 2 full inventory of gambles.

How long does a blood maiden take and how many legs does she drop normally?

I generally have to vendor every second or third blood maiden mainly cause of the rares.

BTW i geared out gloves boots pants and amulets this way for +2=3 passive/core damage rolls which are hard to get.

You need to use 1 heart in the summoning. Each kill is 8-10 legendaries plus summon mats. 4 if you dont use a heart. I believe its 2 min per summon so it takes avg 10 min to fill an inventory of legendaries.

I’m the minority here but I agree that harder content should = possibility of better drops. Not a guarantee, but a better chance.

I can see their raid DOA if they plan to keep current loot philosophy…

Imagine being forced to group up only to get worse gear than Helltide, rofl

PIT as an activity was designed and a build tester endgame activity.NOT Farming , not party play or any of that s… that ppl now ask for.

Before S4 everybody was crying that there is no activity to push their builds to the limit and they created one. Sure, it can be a rounded activity with good drops and party play, but than you would have another problem: nobody would do Tormented bosses nor Helltides cause the PIT would give you everything.

TLDR: PIT= endgame activity to push builds to their limits. End of story.

I’m farming at lvl 96 now. Could and have gone higher, but I’ve actually dropped back to 76 at one point. Why? Rerolling or replacing multiple pieces of gear at the same time slowed me down in the 80s and 90s. I prefer farming at lower lvls as long as I can do it in 4-5 mins or less.

Also the class balance philosophy: “LFM new group activity - Barbs only”.

Yeah thanks, but no thanks.

I’d agree if we were given the same tools.
But they ask us to dig a hole, give one group a shovel, one has to go at it bare-handed and one gets an excavator… Deeper the hole, better the reward.

Will the most hard working group collect the best reward?

For those saying the pit is not farming, how else are you supposed to get stones for Tormented bosses? It is of course a farming mechanism just like everything else…all tied together.

Dont ask anything just enjoy the AAA peak design

Last Epoch drops are better the higher the difficulty.

Go play that, then. Why are you here?
