Why another druid?

Clearly a different team worked on this class, skills looks flashier and out of place. Are the reworking current classes skills to fit in with this one?

And why another druid, a flashier one…would have preferred a witch doctor, or maybe a demon class

Roll a spiritborn, call it druid.

This is Skinny Druid.

Ok, mmmm, thought current Druid is a spirit user, in fact you spec into them, wolf, crow…etc you physically change form into animal, new druid the animal just appears above….sorry mate this is another druid. Bear pulverize = Gorilla smash….should I go on?

this is definitely just an upgrade to a druid, or a druid replacement.

jag/shred, eagle/storm, centipede/rabies,poison, gorilla/earth

summon/shapeshift

spirit/spirit

vigor/spirit work the same? lol

But now they sound faster and stronger.

it’s almost comedic

Lol perhaps they look different, but still char change into animal, bet pulverize and gorilla smash feels exactly the same

You don’t change into animals within this class, the spirits are like cast skills here.

Only mobility focused build for druid is werewolf, spiritborn seems to be all about it.

Its very different than a druid in many ways, similar in few. I would say its a mix of monk and a caster.

Ok so you don’t change into the animal you cast it above your head, visually still looks like druid gameplay, perhaps from a different clan😀

I disagree, the animal skills looks far more like a spell than shapeshifting, you can also say that any melee class plays similar in closed battle if you go that way…

I bet you want to play paladin for a 1000th time…

Lore wise, the druid and spiritborn are connected. This was discussed in the stream. They both use the power of the spirits, but use the power differently.

The spiritborn manifest the spirits in the physical realm. Druids use the power of the spirits to shapeshift, summon animal allies, and call forth natural effects.

Mechanically, they might have a few commonalities, like poison use and vulnerability infliction, but they appear to play differently. Although play style for spiritborn appears to different based on totem spirit. Jaguar users are crazy fast, Gorilla is very tough, and Centipede is slow uses auras.

So just watched the trailer / gameplay. The classes appears to be a bit more fluid when it comes to the druid. However both utilize spirits all though differently.

Spiritborn each spirit represents some sort of “element”

  1. Jungle Tiger / Leopard = Fire
  2. Hawk / Falcon = Lightning
  3. Centipede = Poison
  4. Gorilla = Not really sure looks like wind or just straight physical might.

Its flashy I give it that, but watching the gameplay it seemed to me and this just my observation, but it almost felt like you activate a skill to empower your basic attacks after some generation you can utilize the spirit or its x amount of attacks and it triggers.

Nah would have preferred a real new class, archetype, like a demon class perhaps. Don’t care too much for paladin

Im getting D2 Assasin vibes.

What lol

So far, The Spiritborn is a Shamanmonkdoctorroguedruidassasin

You guys will have to choose

Totally agree… I know the reason why Druid has lost love to be improved: Druid 2.0 spiritborn received all this love :frowning:
