they may fix this by Season 3. It was mentioned in a campfire chat. Other things are taking priority.
Apparently even though they just made millions they don’t have the money to hire additional crew to finish their unfinished game. That’s my main problem here is they made all this money why aren’t they expanding the team to get this stuff done faster? They probably don’t care.

The devs recently acknowledged the community feedback concerning this and they are looking at it. It is possible but as of now they are concerned about performance issues related to the upcoming density increase - more FOV = more on screen.

PS4 console restriction. Game has to run exactly the same on ps4 as it does on your 5k 4090 pc.

Real reason? Consoles. Probably trying to achieve a target of 60 fps. The easiest way to do that is to decrease field of view.

There’s an official thread about that you can keep bumping. It has a hang reply I will bump in a few days, but you should add to it as well. I guess a multitude of threads asking why the game is so zoomed in helps as well.
No idea I just made it up but it makes sense if you think about it. Most of the graphical restrictions are probably because the game has to run on 10+ year old console hardware.

8600 developers and not a single one can grasp the concept of a zoom function that stretches beyond 10 feet looking down, don’t even get me started on the whole player stashes loading to prevent extra stash tabs.

Field of view determines how much of the scene fits into the camera regardless of zoom level. They just need to give us zoom options.

This has been talked about since the open beta…devs still haven’t done a thing about it.

They are losing talent faster than they can hire. Apparently Bobby the sociopath isn’t great to work for. Who woula thought.
