Who ever came up with the idea that negative affixes in Nightmare Dungeons was a good idea? Imagine if there were only positive affixes, wouldn’t that be times more fun? For example:
-Empowered Elites (Suppressor) - you gain increased damage bonus, 10% per elite pack killed, 50% max (addictive to %damage bucket).
-Armor Breakers - your attacks reduce monsters Armor by 7% for 6 sec, stacking up to 35%.
-Blood Blister - dying monsters sometimes spawn a Blood Blister that damage monsters in a wide area after a period of time (20% of monsters maximum life is a global limit, so you can’t abuse it).
-Melee Defenders - Monsters take 40% more damage from close targets.
-Stormbane’s Wrath - Stormbane’s Wrath follow players around, releasing deadly pulses which damage monsters. (despawns when boss objective completed)
-Drain Resource - Player restore 16% of Primary Resource when he attacks monsters it (once per 10 sec).

Path of Exile came up with it as far as I know, to answer your question.

Just the worst version of Path of Exile.
It’s just a clumsy imitation

Why does any of it matter when everyone is invincible and things die instantaneously. It might provide a bit of challenge for solo players pushing 100 nm I guess, but once they add actual multiplayer to the game people will be running groups.
Ideally they add dynamics to how you play through a dungeon. It’s intended to be used with tileset and enemy dynamics. I tend to favor mechanical over stat bloat though stat bloat does have it’s place.
Things like the Rock that follows you or Dazing orbs (if it didn’t scale with player numbers) are more my style. PoE had some decent ones like Beyond but at the same time they go too far with stat bloat like 90% Avoidance making it brick some builds.
Blood Blister would be a decent mechanical one if this game respected line of sight with AoE.
it’s annoying, but at least there’s no reflect like in POE and i love POE. I avoid all reflected mobs and then sometimes you get lost in a battle and suddenly died because you hit a mob with reflect hahahaha
I think NM dungeons are good fun, if you don’t like them just do regular ones.
It’s an attempt to do what PoE did with maps.
There are issues with it though:
-
The positive modifier is basically unnoticeable. And there’s only 1.
-
Some of the negative modifiers SUCK. Particularly Drifting Shade in a group. Or backstabbers while solo. Blood Blisters actually get much easier at higher gear levels.
-
In a group you seem to be always screwing someone over, whether it be with a 60% damage debuff or Barrier Breakers for a Sorc.
We need more positive modifiers, and they should be noticeable and affecting gameplay.
Some of the negative ones are good (by which I mean interesting) - lightning pulses and lightning dome require some coordination, for example. We need more like that - tile effects, outside influences. Not just “you deal less damage because reasons.”

Why not just 1 modifier that makes you invincible? And maybe make the ai play for you on top?
Whoever was in charge of designing anything past campaign should be demoted back to cleaning bathrooms

I’ll second this one.
Right now the affix in NM dungeons are just boring/annoying.
In Diablo Immortal there are affix that turn rifts only spawn with champion/elites, i think we could use something like those in D4.
Some affix I think would be interesting like
- Dungeon have higher mob density.
- All champion/elite mobs now are treasure goblin.
- You see 4 times more shrines, but shrine duration is halfed
- Your primary resource regenates when you move.
