Whirlwind - Shouts Usable During Channeling

I enjoy playing a Whirlwind Barbarian, but feel the gameplay could be significantly improved if shouts were usable while channeling Whirlwind. With this change, it would make Whirlwind synergize better with your shout skills. Thoughts?

On a controller you just keep your finger on the whirlwind button and when you cast your shouts you’ll go right back to spinning. I’m sure there’s a similar method on keyboards.

Hold right click or whatever other hotkey it’s assigned to, and press another button. It’s not difficult by any means.

Now there are instances where if you’re holding too many buttons down on the keyboard this won’t work, it’ll only take so many inputs at once. So if you’re using WASD, a numbered hotkey, and you’re tying to hit another hotkey this may not work, but I haven’t tested it myself.

Just as an example W and D are being held to make your character move up and to the right, you press and hold the 1 hotkey (three total keys being held down now), you start to spin to win, then you press the 2 hotkey and it doesn’t go off. I could see this happening. Again I don’t know for certain though.

Depends on the keyboard, most have 6 key rollover limit which shouldn’t be a hindrance for most builds in D4. A good gaming keyboard or any higher end keyboard will have nKey rollover which basically means it can register all of the keys at once. I use a glorious GMMK which supports nkro.

I’m not sure if D4 itself limits key presses though.

Yea was just an example, I don’t honestly know. I think it may be a pebcak issue though with the OP.

Wirbelwind needs a general overhaul. The attackspeed should also be scaled up. I hope to see this in the patch notes for the PTR.
