i did not find any topic about this ->but it has been annoying me for the last couple days.
there was no problem for me at the start of the game and it only started recently i think by the time you disabled our aspect (just to name a exact time when it started)
description of the problem.
i am whirling in a pack of enemies. it mostly happens if they CC me.
so my whirlwind animation stops because i get frozen or stunned, so i use my shout or often wrath of the berserker to break the cc.
of course after that i right click since i am at full fury. but nothing happens!
if i use lunging strike or evade those work. so i right click to whirl… evade to see if its lag or whatever. evade works rightclick again… sometimes i have to rinse and repeat this 3 times until it starts to whirl again.
i did not have this problem form lvl 0 to 80. i break cc and whirl. i evade a attack and whirl no problem all worked smooth. but suddenly it seems clunky even unresponsive! but only for the whirlwind while other interactions work. its like this you can’t attack bug that was there at the start. but since you fixed it it seems it only happens with WW for a few seconds. since it works again after a while its not gamebreaking but certainly weird. have other barbs encountered it as well?
if i already make a post for once. supressors are sometimes immune to my WW damage. if i lunging strike them for once i can whirl and they get dmg normally afterwards. but if i keep spinning without hitting them they get no dmg.
those 2 things are among the weirdest things i noticed on my way to 90 ;D

Hi , I want to bum this up, this is crazy, I am observing the same behavior , I’m now lv 88, it wasnt happening in the earlier levels until maybe 85, or maybe there was some recent change to whirlwind ,that caused this . Making playing whirlwind really bad, during whirlwind often , the animation will just stuck , I keep the right click and move around the mouse nothing happens.
Have to unpress the mouse, and try to start whirlwind again, sometimes i take 3-4 tries to make whirlwind go off. It stucks in the midle of the spin and can;t continue,
sometimes if I press right mouse button the spin, will do a half of a circle and stops again.
I checked I;m not cced at the time, and i have full fury, but it does seem to be happening more frequent after cc end or while using shout to break cc.
It looks to me as a bug, that needs to be look into.

YES!!! I can 100% confirm that this happens!
I think it started either today because of some update or because I just hit 83 this evening.
It just stops spinning like I got CCed but I was watching this phenomen very closely and it happens while unstoppable or fighting mobs that can’t stun/freeze etc… too!
Another Barb nerf?

yes its happening to me as well. very frustrating. even if im unstoppable it just takes several clicks on my mouse to get anything to happen. whirlwind just wont start. at first i thought it was my mouse and i needed a new one, so i bought a brand new 60 dollar pro gaming mouse and…long story short its not the mouse, please fix your game.

I have encountered the same issues for my barb, and it started happening to me few days ago too at level 80 onwards. There were even times when the whirlwind button became disabled no matter what else I did - tried dodging, re-equipping my whirlwind skill, shouting but all failed. When I hover to check the skill, the whirlwind damaged showed 150k onwards where my usual damage shows about 15k. This issue was fixed only after I left and create a new game. Bliz pls fix this asap so I can continue to play =#

Glad to know I’m not the only one seeing this behavior. Was beginning to think something was wrong with my mouse. Don’t remember this being a thing early on, level 73 now and it’s been happening for the last few days.

It appears to be happening with a lot of channeling or movement spells. I’ve seen reports of it happening with Sorcerer spells, and I have it happen all the time with Druid’s Lightning Storm. But I also have seen it happen when I’m not actually casting anything; I just freeze in place for a moment, unable to do anything after a dodge except dodge a second time, and then a third, because I cannot move or attack. It really appears to be a consistent problem across many systems, and hopefully they fix it soon.
If I may ask, what sever are you playing on? I am exclusively on Diablo East (Central).

I am also encountering the same problem.
It is very frustrating because it often leads to death in tier 4 difficulty.

exact same behavior here, started happening today when i turned 98. WW stops and mostly die. its killing the game for me. will take a break when i turn 100 if this s not fixed.
I have exact same behavior. I thought it was a gear change but with less CC from the enemies I couldnt solve this behaviour.
Also happening to me, Id like to add that in general ive noticed inputs that dont actually go through … Which is a bit puzzling. Normally in a game it doesint matter if something else is being processed at the same time because the input will just be queued … There is something happening that alters the priority of the input … or causes the input not to go through. It happens on the horse , waaaaaaay too often … Thats obvious (SPAMMING Space bar) but im not talking about that… Im talking about skills. Anyone else notice this strange behaviour? Im leaning towards there being some server side checks that allow abilities to even be cast LOL! Only because inputs and animations become realllllly buggy around helltide events with lots of players, Even the items in helltides are bugged. I can replicate a bug where if you drop found items from mystery chests on the floor , they fall through the floor permanently hahahaha … I can replicate a few more bugs too.

A ver si lo solucionan pronto o la build de Torbellindo así, es injugable.
