When S3 begins next week, what are most of you planning to do? Do you jump up to T4 right away(assuming it’s not an unlock) or do you grind away in lower tiers until you feel you’re ready to make the jump?
I’m not a power player, I’m just a slightly better than casual player, but I want to make the season count, so I want to improve as quickly as I can. What’s the best strat to move up the ladder faster?
The highest level you can start on is Veteran. You have to unlock 3 and 4 through the capstone dungeons.

I have never started any of the 7 characters i have played below T2.
Just not worth it.
I always start at T2 even back in S0. T2 at S1 and S2. T2 for S3 as well. It’s so easy enough and doesn’t make sense to stick with T1. I am not a speed runner either

No. You need to do the first capstone dungeon to unlock 3.
I do wish you could start alts (second char onwards) already at level 50 on tier 3.

OK, I kind of thought so. S2 was my first playthrough of the game so I had nothing to compare it to. I’m pretty sure I started at T2 because T1 seems pointless if you’re trying to improve your game.
ya t1 is the most efficient way to level. then unlocking t3 around lvl 40-44 so you can get maximum bonus from wt3. lvl60-64 for wt4. i am probably going to be spending alot of time in helltides to level. mobs are 6 lvls higher than you if you are atleast minimum level for the world tier, so great for experience and be able to start farming living steel early. need to start saving for the duriel runs again.

If i decide to roll a toon for season 3, that is probably where i will spend most of my time……i dont know if i am gonna roll though. I may wait a week or so to see what you and the rest of the fee people i trust on here says about the new season before i make a final decision.

well looking at the “nerfs”. i think ww/hota is still going to be find so i might stick with that. if anything i could always just switch to upheaval if need be. but the “nerfs” dont look very damaging for the barb

I honestly thought BL sorc was gonna get hit worse, but they only lowered the damage a little bit and increased the speed (probably because of the vamp power).
Lightening druid looks interesting, but i was really hoping for some minion love for the necro. A bit disappointing considering so many people have been asking for it.
I’ll be sticking with Barb too. To me the nerfs aren’t really nerfs but bug fixes and reigning in unintended overpower numbers. Yea I won’t be hitting for billions but things are still going to fall apart around me as I twirl and smack the ground.
wasnt the buff from enhanced 200%. they reduced it to 25% i thought.
Was the attack speed. I dont know.
Not going back to sorc for a while unless fire/meteor starts to go pew pew.
i think i have an interesting build planned for s3

There is no ladder, not yet at least. Start at Tier 1, then Tier 3 at 40ish, then Tier 4 around 65.
I started on T2 last time, may start on T1 this time. Usually start trying the capstone about 5 levels early.
I always start at WT2 and then work my way up.
practicaly the same 
T1 is faster but less XP
T2 slower but more XP
so depends on what you’re capable of doing the fastest (first hour T1 until you get some decent gear and switch to T2 untill +/- lvl50)
Guess I’ll go Barb this season. Only class I haven’t played much.
