Currently running charge barb lvl 100. when I tried to solo vault of the loom before hitting lvl 100 it did not go well. Wondering if its easier now with a maxed out toon, or should we just make a new toon with a different class?
I was able to solo it decently with a shadow infinimist necro, it has enough fortification to help keep health up. but it doesnt have the big crits like barbs do so things take longer
Just make a build tuned for loom. For barb that’s basically the duriel one shot one. Once you’re geared up with the right aspects, put in some dr related gear and you’re good. The trick with the loom is you don’t have to kill anything until the final chest room. Malph is just a one shot target like any other boss. I currently play a necro and bone spear with lidless wall was pretty smooth for farming. I can run through the sections as fast as my one shot buddy. But he has a huge advantage on malph or if the butcher/son pops out
Best way I found to do this room as a Charge-barb is to focus on the pillars and set the pet up with a good attack and it will go ham on the boss. Then sneak in attacks when possible (which isn’t much). I play a non-meta charge without hota.
I basically just face tanked it on my wernado druid and ignored the towers.
My bone spear I suspect would be fine if I take out towers. Might be dicey if I can’t keep up bone storm since I am missing a defense stat or two. But haven’t tried. The 15 or so runs on my Druid was enough of that for one season.
Honestly thought the bowling simulator barb would just destroy it. Although I haven’t tried yet since I am only 90.
