I just spent an hour playing on my fast evade spirit born in the open world. Spent 40 minutes or so in the new expansion area since they said goblins are supposed to spawn more there and then about 20 minutes in the hell tide area.

The other is actually OK, I come off as a hater here because I call the trolls here who use it to troll. A lot of what they put out is…not accurate.

Yeah I played WoW briefly at the time the Celestial Steed came out and bought it. Didn’t care for wow, but missed mu sparkly space pony.
I logged out after half an hour of no goblins. Not a good event.
Don’t farm Dungeons or Helltide. Farm regular Overworld. Especially Nahantu if you have the Expansion. Use your mount and zoom around from one goblin to the next. Each one goblin will spawn a second. Take greed shrines if you find them and kill large mobs/elites to spawn more goblins. Once you think you’ve covered most of a zone move on to the next. By the time you circle back around all areas will be reset with fresh goblins.
Edit: A Tip. Only pick up Ancestrals, Prisms, and Boss Mats. Not only to speed things up and reduce clutter, but because it also leaves you markers on your map cause of the legendaries so you’ll know where you’ve already farmed.

The goblin rate sucks. It’s feast or famine.
I can go an hour pulling a goblin a minute, or I can go an hour getting 3.
It’s highly inconsistent leading to frustration. The event is poor.
If Blizzard were smart, they’d populate 20+ in NMDs along with more special events.
The spawn rates and other factors are RNG based too…
I don’t mind RNG. But I dislike massive swings that make no sense. It’s not like hitting an area with a massive spawn rate wins me a new car. It barely wins me an Ancestral (if that).
Yea, most of my gear is 750 items because 800 gear barely drops and when it does, it rolls like hot garbage.
